Chapter Five: A New Beginning

I woke up to see Eicca sitting at the edge of the bed. I sat up and hugged him from behind, "Morning sweetheart," he said, "Mm morning," I said tiredly. I sat beside him, "Did you sleep well?" He asked, "I did, and I had the most interesting dream," I said. He looked at me in interest, "Oh really? Can you tell me about it?" He questioned. I smiled and got up, "I'll tell you it later," I said walking into the bathroom to take a shower. I stuck my head out the door, "Hey could you pick some clothes out for me please," I said. He nodded and picked out some clothes and set them on the bed. (Outfit in the pic)
"I'll go get the guys up so we can help you pack," he said, "Kay," I said getting into the shower.
~Eicca P.O.V.~
I walked to the spare bedroom where the guys slept. Sure enough, they were still asleep. I took out my phone and blasted one of our surprising songs. Mikko and Perttu sat up instantly while Paavo slowly sat up, "Was that really nescesary Eicca?!" Asked Mikko, "Yes, we need to help Grayson pack," I said. They all face palmed, "Right," said Perttu. I left the room and met up with Grayson in the front room.
~Grayson P.O.V.~
I walked into the front room so I could retrieve my suit case. It wasn't that big but enough to hold most of my clothes and shoes, "Guys are up," said Eicca joining my side, "Alright," I said searching the front closet for my suit case. I moved my cello and recording equipment out of the way and found my suit case in the far back. I pulled it out, "Wow, how can you fit so much stuff in there?" Asked Paavo, "It's like Tetris," I said. I put everything back like it was nothing, "That's impressive," said Mikko. I dragged my case to my room and began packing my clothes, "Eicca can you look under the bed in the guest room and get out the medium rectangle case please," I said, "Sure," he said. A few minutes later I finished packing my clothes and Eicca came back in with the case, "This one?" He asked. I looked up, "Yup," I said. I took my suit case to the front and grabbed the other case, "What's it for??" They asked, "It's for my recording stuff," I said,"Oh," they said. I loaded my recording equipment and my laptop so I can play the games, "Now I need to go talk to the apartment manager real quick and inform him that ill be gone," I said. They nodded and I left for the managers office.
~Eicca P.O.V.~
When Grayson left the guys walked up to me, "Sweet got your girlfriend going on tour with us and she's joining the band as well," said Mikko. I smiled, "Yeah, I just wish she didn't have to leave to go back home after college. I could have helped her," I said with my smile fading. I felt a hand on my shoulder, "She's fine now and that's all that matters right?" Said Perttu. I nodded, "Yeah, I guess so," I said. There was a knock on the door. I walked to the door and opened it, "Oh good! I see they already have people moving into this dump," said a woman about mid thirties. Me and the guys exchanged looks, "Um we're not moving in, were helping Grayson move out," I said. She looked at me like I was best thing ever made, "Great! I've been waitng for that brat to leave this place," she said. I raised an eyebrow, "Why's that?" Asked Paavo, "Since she's been here she is constantly making noise when she plays that stupid cello and dumb video games," she said very annoyed. My eyebrow twitched. I slightly wanted to punch this woman for calling a cello stupid. Someone lightly grabbed the back of my shirt making sure I didn't go berserk, "If you hated my playing and games so much then why the hell didn't you just ask for a different apartment," said a voice. We looked to the left of the woman and saw Grayson walking back up the stairs, "Cause it would cost more money to change than to rent a new one," snarled the woman. She stuck up her nose and left. Grayson sighed as she reached the door, "I'm sorry about that, that witch has wanted me gone since I got here," she said. She walked back in and I closed the door, "So how long you got until he kicks you out?" Asked Mikko, "I have one week," she said. I looked at Grayson as she continued to pack her things. She moved her bangs behind her ear to see. Her hair got longer since I last saw her. I saw her around the campus but I never really talked to her. Until we meet for the first time in the orchestra hall.
~Flashback 3 years ago~
I had just finished teaching some freshman the basics of the cello when the bell rang, "Alright students and Eicca, we will work more on the basics of our instruments tomorrow," said the teacher. They nodded and left, "Proffesor, I'll be hanging back for a bit," I said. He nodded and left. I walked around the hall when I spotted an open cello case. I walked towards it and saw how beautiful it was. It was one of the rare kinds but I couldn't remember what it was called. I picked it up and held it before I played it. God it sounded amazing. I then heard the door creeked. I looked up when I noticed a girl standing there, "Oh I'm sorry is this yours?" I asked. She nodded, "I'm sorry I saw it and I couldn't help myself but to play it," I said, "Oh no it's fine," she said. I held out my hand, "Im Eicca Toppinen I'm actually apart of a band called Apocalyptica, we play with cellos," I said. She shook my hand, "Im Grayson Locks I obviously play the cello also and I also play drums a bit," she said. I smiled, "Nice to meet you Grayson. Well I shall leave now again sorry about playing your cello without permission," I said, "It's fine and it's nice to meet you too Eicca," she said. I smiled then left. When I closed the door I leaned on it, 'Holy crap. Did I really just talk to her?' I thought. I heard playing recognized it as I Don't Care. I smiled as I also heard her singing. I walked off thinking about her.
I wondered around the school after a performance bored out of mind. Not paying attention, I bumped into some one and we fell with me above the person, "Oh my gosh I'm so s-" she stopped herself. Her eyes widen, "Eicca?" She whispered in surprise. I was surprised as well, "Grayson?" I whispered back. We stayed there trying to comprehend what the hell happened. I saw that her bangs were covering her face so I decided to move them carefully. Her face felt warm and I got slightly worried, "Are you ok? You feel warm, are you getting sick?" I asked worried. She didn't say anything. I got up then helped her up, "Sorry about that I wasn't paying attention," I said kindly. I then remembered I had returned from a performance. I noticed her studying me, "Oh I just left from a performance," I said. She nodded. I pushed my hair behind one of my ears. As we stood there we heard the gates that locked the exit doors to the school, "Oh crap, we're locked in," she said. I nodded, "Yup, seems like it," I said.
~flash back time skip: graduation dance~
I led Grayson into the dance hall where the guys were doing small pieces. I tugged at Grayson's arm, "Come, there is something I planned that you will love," I said as I took her to the stage and grabbed a mic, "Attention everyone, in honor of the Best Musician I would like for Grayson to play with us the song Broken Pieces," I said. Her eyes widened as I handed her her cello and placed the mic in front of her. I smiled and everyone who was waiting for her answer. She nodded and I started us off. Everyone enjoyed the performance. I took the mic as Grayson put up her cello, "One more thing. I would like to ask Grayson for one final dance tonight," I said. She turned towards me and I smiled while holding out my hand. She smiled and she took my hand and I led her to the dance floor and everyone gathered around us. She blushed slightly as the others played one of our slow songs. As the song was about to end I pulled her close to me and whispered, "I love you, Grayson," I said. She blushed as she looked up at me and I kissed her. This time is was longer and more passionate. I heard the crowd cheer and whistle as we pulled away the music stopped and everyone was still cheering. I smiled as one of the other band members spoke, "Thank you everyone for having us here and congratulations to all of the graduates!" Said Perttu. Everyone cheered loudly. As everyone left Grayson stayed behind with the us, "So what are you going to do now Grayson? School is over," I asked. She looked at us, "I guess I'll go back to what I do best, stay popular on YouTube and stay hidden as an artist," she said slightly half heartedly. We all looked at her, "Why not come with us?" Asked Paavo. She shook her head, "Mother will not let me. The most I can do to get away from them is to move to Sweden or Germany," she said. We looked sad. Grayson handed me a piece of paper, "We may not see each other again. So keep in touch with me the best you can, ok?" She said. She let go of my hand and hugged the members then gave me the final hug and kissed my cheek, "I promise," I said. She smiled hiding the urge to cry, turned, and left to pack. The guys walked up to me, "Don't worry Eicca, I'm sure we'll see her again," said Mikko placing his hand on my shoulder, "I hope so," I said. We packed up our instruments and got on our bus. I went to my bunk and fell asleep thinking about her.
~Flashback end~
A hand waved in front of my face. I snapped out of it, "Earth to Eicca!" Said Mikko. I blinked multiple times before responding, "Uh, sorry," I said. They sighed while Grayson continued to pack. I wish she didn't have to leave or get hurt. A hand was placed on my shoulder, "Eicca, don't hate yourself because of the past. That was then, this is now," said Paavo. I nodded. Grayson walked up to me, "Since it's getting late I'll finish packing tomorrow," she said. I nodded.
~Grayson P.O.V.~
I stopped packing due to it getting late. I walked up to Eicca, "Since it's getting I'll finish packing tomorrow,"I said. He nodded. I walked into my room and quickly changed into batman boxers and a batman shirt. Eicca looked at me with a raised eyebrow, "What? I like batman," I said. He chuckled and ruffled my hair, "I'm not saying that's a bad thing," he said. When he removed his hand I pushed him onto the bed, "What was that for?!" He questioned propping himself up on his elbows. I smiled and crawled onto the bed. I was now hovering over Eicca with a smile, "I really missed you," I said. I leaned in and kissed him. He kissed back happily. When we broke the kiss I laid down beside him with my head on his chest. I began to fall asleep, "I missed you too," he whispered. I fell asleep feeling happy.
