Chapter 2
Carl's POV
"Wanna go the lake?" I ask Louise.
"Sure!" she says. Louise seems really nice and she's really pretty too. She's kinda shy though.
"Do you want to come?" I ask Sophia trying to tell her with my eyes to say no. I wanted to get to know Louise better alone. Sophia just smirks before nodding.
"Yeah I'll come" She says. I make sure Louise isn't looking before glaring at Sophia who just rolls her eyes before leaving and heading towards the lake. Louise follows her leaving me on my own. I sigh and follow them.
Louise's POV
I follow Sophia. Everyone in the group are nice and I found my brother! I hadn't seen him since he left for college a year ago.
We reach the lake I saw earlier. Lori,Amy and Carol were washing clothes.
The sun shone on the lake giving it a glimmering shine. I could hear the birds tweeting and Lori and her friends were laughing. I almost forgot how the world was. Almost.
"Last one to the water is a rotten egg!" I shout, sprinting towards the water. I get there first then Sophia meaning Carl was last. He pouts cutely and I just laugh.
"Rotten egg!" I tease and splash him with water. He shakes the water out of his hair before frowning playfully. While I'm laughing at him he runs up to me tackling me. I land in the water with a loud splash.
Carl and Sophia laugh and everybody else giggles, trying to hide it because they're the adults.
I stand up,dripping with water, and smile sweetly at Carl.
"Carl?"I say. He stops laughing and looks up at me curiously. " Hug!" I shout and run up to him pressing my cold,wet body against his. He's warm and when I touch him I get a zapping feeling all around my body.
I step back and he does too, turning to face me. I was shocked about what had just happened and I know he felt it too. I went red looking down at my feet, trying to avoid eye contact with Carl.
"I...eh...gotta go" I stammer"to check on Glenn"
"Bye!" Sophia smiles and waves while Carl just nods,looking downwards at his feet.
*Carl's POV*
Louise leaves. That as weird I think I mean I think she felt it too.
Sophia nudges me. "Someone has a crush!" she sings. I could feel the blush on my cheeks.
"No!"I protest "I barely know her! She's just my friend!"
"Whatever you say" Sophia smirks. I roll my eyes before heading towards where Louise left.
"I'm gonna go see Dad"
