Recap:
"No, no," Hestia nearly shouted out in her urgency. Having Jordan fight with someone over her wasn't something she was ready to face.
"You're mine, means I protect you with everything I have." Jordan caressed her cheek.
"You don't need to protect me."
"I want to." He smiled slightly. "I can't let you be bothered about anything."
"Jordan, I-," Hestia was cut off when he leaned down and attached his lips to hers. Using his body to pin her against the door, he ravished her lips. Kissing her like a starved man. Hestia could feel her toes curling, her limbs turning to mush. She tried desperately to keep up with his passion, but she couldn't; she just wasn't experienced enough. Eventually Jordan pulled back, leaving Hestia panting for breath. Leaving a trail of blazing kisses down her jaw and into the curve of her neck.
"I love it when you say my name." Jordan whispered into her ear.
Chapter 5:
Hestia didn't wish for unlimited amounts of drama and attention, she wanted a quiet and peaceful life. An existence where she would be left free to pursue her writing and spend endless hours reading and thinking; but fate was a fickle mistress. Her relatively quiet and routine life was slowly morphing into anything but.
Staring down at the empty page of her journal that she had been staring at for the past hour, she let out a sigh. Currently engulfed within the warmth of her blankets, she sighed. Today had been just as surprising and eventful as she had hoped it wouldn't be. Jordan Thorne had turned her whole existence onto its head and wreaked havoc in her orderly life.
Finally closing her journal, she stared off into space as Jordan consumed her thoughts. She frowned as she cleared her thoughts, and forcibly began to mull over the latest idea for her novel. It wouldn't do if her mind revolved around him all the time.
A swift knock followed by the door flying open scared the living daylights out of her, jerking her head to face the intruder Hestia let out a sigh of relief as she locked eyes with Chris.
"You scared me." Hestia gasped as she tried to calm her racing heart. Chris chuckled as he collapsed onto the bed.
"Aww little girlie got scared?" he cooed as he pinched her cheek.
"Idiot." She lightly smacked his head. "What brings you here?"
"Can't a guy come visit his cousin?" he sighed exaggeratedly.
"Not when that guy is you." Hestia giggled.
"You wound me, dear cousin." Chris lamented as he shamelessly begged for attention, "What have I done to turn you against me?"
"I love it when you're away at college." Hestia sighed.
"How dare you?" Chris repeatedly wacked her over the head with her own pillow, all the while spouting wails of mock outrage and despair. Hestia couldn't contain the laughter that bubbled up within her at his childish antics. "Come. We're going out for something to eat," Raising a hand to silence her protests, he comically wiggled his brows, "I have the most spectacular gossip ever." He nearly sang as he coaxed her into coming.
Knowing when to admit defeat, Hestia gave in. Scrambling off of her bed, she ambled over to her closet and sifted through her clothing, all the while humming under her breath. She had one friend in the whole wide world, and that was Chris Thorne; and she didn't have it in her to refuse him.
