there are 7 billion people in the world
255 births per minute, 108 deaths per minute
255 new people who have the chance to make their life a great one, 108 whose chances for greatness have finally ended
and i wonder, how many people purposefully ended their lives?
1 person every 12.3 seconds
will i be the one person? i suppose there's a chance. one day, i might take my own life.
but i also suppose, why? eventually, i will be one of the 108 deaths per minute. i will die. everyone will die. and the world will keep going.
someone once told me to make sure that i'm remembered. to make sure that my life isn't wasted. i don't agree. no one's life is wasted. every person i see, i hear, i touch, they all have stories. their own stories. each story is different, and each story is worth it. worth it enough to be remembered, to be heard.
i hope you remember mine.
