Gods and rulers, the people with the most power in the universe. They were all real, every one of them. But they weren't everything they were made out to be, Gods. They were human, all too human in fact, they all started out as any other person. With different lives, different homes, different worlds from each other. The Native Americans had their gods, the Greeks and Romans, along with the Egyptians and so many more worshipped and praised these beings they called Gods. When in fact they were as mortal as any other man, But they were real. And their gifts were passed on through the generations, eventually vanishing into myth and religion.
In some cases two gifted would have children and therefore create new gifted. This would give a chance for the child to have either of the parents gifts or an entirely new one. Some gifts were common and would be what caused some to separate to create factions or clans. Other gifts were less common and would be more commonly found in isolation.
This is what my great grandfather used to tell me before every story he told. When I was little I had the right age of mind to believe them, now I don't know. But this is his story.
