"He's the last." A voice echoed through my head. "He is the soul survivor." Images flashed through my head of a beautiful place, of a people with one with the forest. "He is all that's left." And then it was gone. The tree's were lay down low and the forest was ablaze. "His people fell willingly." Images of people sitting on their knees before being consumed by fire.  "He ran, he survived, he remains." Then I saw myself. A boy barely the age of six being buried in the ground with his family. His fist clenched tight holding a precious cargo, a seed. To protect and to maintain his soul. "He did not get far." A image of a green light far beneath the dirt. "You are the last Nomad."

I woke up in darkness but that gradually changed as it slowly got brighter and clearer to the point at which everything was green, and I could see. I noticed some vines were wrapping themselves around me and were connected at my chest.  This I was startled by but quickly fixed with a slight yank and tug to pull them free. Underneath was what surprised me. A oddly shaped green rock was implanted inside of my chest. "You are the last child of the Emerald Forest." The voice echoed in my head. "The Emerald is your heart and your source of power, do not make your families sacrifice be for nothing." It echoed again. This time I fell over as I tripped on the vines.
"What do you mean?" I yelled. The voice didn't reply, alright nice to meet you too. I thought to myself as I regained my footing. Seeing as there was no marked exit from my little spherical prison I began searching for one. The walls were made of some kind of root, every now and then I'd find a face in the root scream fall over and I'd have to retrace my examination to find where I had left off.
"So what kind of power does this rock give me?" I asked, lightly punching the wall as I turned around to sit down.
"Close your eyes," the voice came more calmly this time so I did as I was told. "Find the life in the ground, become the light to guide it and then show it what you want it to do." It took a few tries but eventually in the darkness I found a little green string of light above me. "Now show it what to do." At first I tried imagining it moving but that didn't do anything. "Use your body to show it where to go."  With that new information I lifted my hands up and two more lights showed up in the darkness. "Be its guide." I moved the two lights behind and in front of the green string and it responded with a quick jolt and then stillness.  I began moving my hands to bring it down further towards me, to bring it down.
Shortly after I had brought it to the edge of the darkness and my eyes opened.
"You can be its physical light in the darkness." And then the roof started to fall. Vines shot through the roof and formed somewhat of a circle above my head before pushing all the dirt away to reveal the sky ten feet up.
