Matt's POV

I have no idea how I got to Grand Central. I ran into the lobby and went to the reception.

"Hi, hmm...Ms. Anna Vaughn?" I asked the nurse there

"Family?" She asked

I nodded

"Room number 214, floor 20" she said

"Thank you" I raced into the elevator and pushed the floor number and waited impatiently

As the elevator dinged open. I ran out of it and went in search of room 214. I finally found it.

I opened the door as everyone looked at me. Elsa, Kat and that Jason guy. Then I saw Anna's small figure on the bed, her eyes were closed.

"What happened?" I entered and closed the door. I walked towards her

"She wanted to go to bed. She was climbing the stairs when she fell" Kat said trying not to cry. Jason held her in his arms

I looked back at Anna's face. Her eyes had dark circle below and she looked pale and thinner than I last saw her...then I saw it.

Her tummy.

What the...?

I gasped and looked at the three of them.

"You knew and you didn't tell me"

They didn't say anything

"It's mine, isn't it?"

"Would you ever doubt that?" Elsa asked

I snorted as my eyes became teary.

This was why she was so mad at me.

This was what was so important.

She wanted to tell me and I didn't let her.

After all I did to her, she still wanted me to know that I was going to be a father.

I held her hand.

"I'm so sorry" I whispered

"I'm sorry for taking so long" the doctor said entering the room

"Is she fine?" Elsa and Kat asked the doctor

"Yeah she is. Just a bruised rib"

"What about the baby" I asked

"Are you the father?" He asked

"Yes" I said

He sighed

What the heck?

"The baby's fine too...but it'll only last if she stays in bed and doesn't stress herself. I heard she has been dizzy for the past few weeks. It's as a result of lack of sleep, improper diet, stress and staying on her feet for too long"

I nodded.

"Okay. We'll see when she wakes up" he said

"When would that be?" Kat asked

"Tomorrow at most." He said and left

"I'm gonna stay with her" I said later

"Take care of her Matt" I felt my sister's hand on my shoulder

"Call me when she wakes up" Kat said as Jason led her out

Elsa followed behind.

I was left alone with Anna...and the baby

I pulled a chair and sat close to her without letting go of her hand.

I tucked tendrils of her hair behind her ear and sighed
