We'll Always Be Together, Forever: A Spoby Story

Chapter 8

Spencer's POV:

"We need to get out of here fast." I say. we all run out of the room. toby's hand never leaves mine and I'm scared for my life and his.

We run down the staircase and to the big front door. I can't help but wonder how Toby and Caleb found us. Did -A tell them? Is Toby apart of the -A team again? I shake my head to make the stream of thoughts and questions go away. I can't think about the how's and why's right now. I need to think about getting us all out of here safely and now in body bags.

"Fuck. The door is locked." Toby curses.

"Toby, what are we going to do?" I frantically ask him.

"Windows?" he asks.

"All of them are barred." I tell him.

"Not the ones in the office. Lets go break those. The car is right out front."

We all run into the office. "stand back everyone." Toby instructs as he grabs the desk chair and throws it at the window. It shatters. "Everybody try not to cut yourself as you climb out. Who's first?"

Caleb climbs out first to catch the next person to climb out, then Hanna, Aria, Emily, me, and lastly Toby climbs out. I look around. "Toby? where did you say the car was?" I ask.

"It was right in front of the front door, but-"

"-A must have moved it." I finish for him. Oh God, we are screwed. "Where could -A have hidden a car?"

"Are there stables or a garage anywhere on the grounds?"

Toby let's go of my hand and walks around the building, out of sight. "Guys over here!" he yells. I run. I run because I hate being away from him, especially when -A is involved.

When I see him I let out the breath that I didn't even know that I had been holding in. "Toby wha-" I started but then I see what he's pointing to, a large barn like my parents'. "Let's stop standing here and let's go."

We all run to the barn and the boys pry the door open, revealing Toby and my's car. It feels too easy but I shake the feeling off and we venture into the barn.

Once all of us are in, the door slams shut and I notice that there is a strange smoke filling the room. "Toby!" I shriek. he grabs my hand.

"I'll get us out of here, I promise." he says. He tries to open the door of the car, but it's locked. "look for something in here that I can break the window with."

I look around the ground for something and I see Hanna's signature high heal shoes. "Hanna, your shoes." As she looks down and tries to take one off she falls and is out cold.

"Hanna! what just-? Caleb starts.

" The smoke. We need to hurry!" I say. I lean down, feeling a lightheaded but trying to over come it, and take Hanna's shoe off. Toby takes it from me and smashes it against the drivers window. It shatters from the force.

"Everybody get in." Toby orders as he gets in and unlocks the doors for everybody. Caleb picks Hanna up and gets in the back seat with her and the girls as I hop in the front seat.

Toby puts the car in reverse and backs up, bringing the barn door down as the car hits it. There is a scream from outside. Toby glances at me and I nod. We get out of the car and and see a person in a black hoodie pinned under the door. I kneel down next to the person and pull back the hood to reveal... Ali?

"Ali?" I choke out.

"No, but close." Ali says with her confident smirk. I now see the blood soaking her blond hair. The more blood that seeps from her onto the hard ground the more her confidence fades and the more ghost like she becomes. "I'm her twin. She stole my life and made you imbeciles her friends and I hate all of you for it."

"If you aren't Ali then you don't even know us." I state.

She smirks again as her eyes start to close. "I know you Spencer and that's why I hate you. You guys have everything that I wanted and would have had." And with that her eyes close by the smirk remains. I quickly check her pulse, but there isn't one.

"She's dead." I tell toby. "I think this is finally over."

"We need to get out of her before the cops show up." He helps me up from the ground and hugs me tight. " Go get in the car. I'll be right there."

I get back in my seat and watch him out the window. He takes a math box from Ali's twin's pocket. He rips a match across the side of the box and the tip of it lights up with fire. he drops the match on the wood barn door.

When he gets back in the car he speeds off towards home and none of us talk the whole two hour ride there.
