We'll Always Be Together, Forever: A Spoby Story

Toby's POV:

"Spencer I'm going to school. Are we still going to lunch at 1:00?" I ask my wife as I'm about to walk out of our apartment. "Yep! See you then." She smiles as she walks to the door with her bag on her shoulder. "Do you have enough time to walk me to the subway first?" She asks looking at me with her doe eyes. I smile down at her. "Of course Mrs. Cavanaugh." She giggles and kisses me. "Thanks husband." I still can't believe that I am married to the love of my life. So far we are doing great. After our honeymoon we came to New York and found a small apartment in between Columbia and NYU. We started classes about a month ago. Spencer being Spencer has been studying non-stop. She's studying to be a writer. She said she didn't want to be a lawyer like her parents had planned for her. As you can guess it didn't go over very well in the Hastings house. "Toby? Ready to go?" Spencer asks snapping me out of my thoughts. "Yeah." We walk out of our apartment and I lock the door. Spence reaches for my hand which I gladly accept. As we walk down the stairs we run into Hanna and Caleb. Oh did I mention we live in the same building? No? Well we do. The girls love it. They talk and study everyday. Caleb and I were friends before, but we've grown closer too. We both came to this city knowing no one but each other... well other than our girls, but nobody else. He now knows about my mom and Radley. I now know his story, which he only told Hanna. He's like the brother I never had. "Hey man what's up?" Caleb asks as him and Hanna match Spence and I's speed. "Spence wanted me to walk her to the subway. Then I'm off for an early class. You?" "Hanna wanted to get breakfast before her first class." I nod. Now the girls were walking in front of us talking about whatever they talk about. "Have you heard if they have gotten anymore texts from -A since we've gotten here? Spence avoids the subject." I ask. Yeah Spencer finally talked Hanna into telling Caleb about -A, so he knows everything now. "No Hanna avoids it too. I really hope they would tell us if it's still going on, but I don't know." He says. Spencer looks back at me and smiles. I smile back at her and then she goes back to her conversation. "I'm on the verge of checking Spencer's phone, but if she found out she would kill me." I tell him. "I've though about it too, but Hanna would go ballistic." He says. "Caleb the cafe I want to go to is around the corner." Hanna says. "See ya man." He says catching up to Hanna. "See ya." I say grabbing Spencer's hand again. We walk for another block or so and then we wait for the subway. Spencer's comes first. "I love you." I tell her. She smiles. "I love you too. Text you after class." I nod. She quickly pecks me on the lips and then hops on the train before it leaves. She waves at me through the window until it rushes down the tunnel.
