"Crap. Crap. Crap. I fucked up, I fucked up, I really fucked up" I said angrily as I slammed the car door, locking it. I ran into the coffee shop, pushing people aside. I heard a few snide comments but i ignored them as I rushed into the thankfully short line.

I tapped my foot on the floor and drummed my fingers on my thigh.
"Come on..." I muttered to myself. I looked around impatiently, rereading the menu three times before the lady in front of me spoke.

"Welcome! What can I get for you today?" She said, a big smile on her face.

I smiled. "Uh, can I have two large mocha frappecinos? And is there any way they could be made really quickly?" I said hurriedly, looking around again. She shook her head.

"I'm sorry ma'am, we have to make a whole new batch. It'll be about 10 minutes." I groaned but nodded anyway. "That'll be $9.36" I quickly placed the money on the counter.

"Keep the change" I blurted before rushing over to the little table where they give you your order.

Ridiculous, I thought to myself. The one day I promised to be on time with the coffees, and I fuck it up. Amy's gonna be so pissed.

"Jeez" I muttered to myself as I checked my phone. Only two minutes had gone buy. I peered into the kitchen where they made the drinks to see them blending things. I sighed before drumming my fingers on the table.

My phone chimed and I took it out of my back pocket. I swiped open the text message.

-Hey! Call me-

My stomach jumped slightly when reading the three words on the screen. I pressed the call button next to Amy's name. After one ring, she picked up.

"Heyo" she said happily. I could hear the smile in her voice.

"Hey there. Listen, I'm so sorr-"

"Don't you start with your rambling. I'm not mad!" She laughed. "It's cool, I'm always the late one anyway. Where are you?"

"I'm at the shop, it'll be about 20 minutes until I get to your house."

"Alright, that's cool. I'm just hanging out here with Calvin, who still refuses to do the damn dishes." She sighed and I heard a protesting voice from next to her speak out and she laughed.

"Yeah ok darling, you do you." I heard her say and I winced slightly but forced a smile, forgetting they couldn't see me.

"Alright well, I'll see you then ok? Be careful on the road, don't rush" She said quickly and ended the call. I slipped my phone back into my pocket after checking it again.

Just a few minutes, I thought to myself.

"I've got two large mocha frappecinos here!" I heard a barista say. I sighed happily and grabbed them, saying a quick thank you. I turned Around, settling the drinks into my hands.

In front of me, I heard a startled yell. My grip tightened on the coffee as the boy's in front of me tumbled to the floor.

"I-" I began but he leaned down to pick up the cup, ignoring my soft start of an apology. He walked over to the napkins, which was a few feet away. I opened my mouth to say something again, but another voice stopped me.

"Let me get that ma'am" a girl with a mop said and I nodded.

"Thank you...I'm so sorry" I pleaded and she smiled at me, waving away the apology. I looked around for the guy but he wasn't at the napkins anymore. I shook my head and sighed before pushing the door open with my back and walking outside.
