When I awoke, I was in the middle of the woods. I groaned at the massive headache I had developed, and attempted to stand up. I had to use a tree for support, but I was soon able to hold my own weight. I looked around , but it was so dark I could only see the surrounding trees. "Is someone out there?" I yelled out into the woods, but no sound came back. Suddenly there was a rustling of bushes a few feet in front of me. I spun toward the noise, but was to late to act. A giant, furry monster lunged out on top of me, and I was knocked to the ground. When I was able to see clearly again, I saw a wolf was sitting beside me. I stifled a scream and scrambled back, but the wolf didn't do anything but tilt it's head in confusion. Then, the wolf started to change until a young girl with long brown hair and green eyes was sitting on the ground. "What are you doing out here in the woods, and why do you look like you got merged with a wolf?" She asked, quite curious. I looked down at hand and choked back a scream. It was covered in light brown fur, along with my arm. The girl seemed to notice my distress and pulled out a small pocket mirror. I looked into it and nearly cried. My face was covered with fur, and I had small wolf ears on top of my head. I dropped the mirror and stood straight up, not even worrying about the wolf who turned into a girl, or the other way around. I took off running toward the direction she came from, and I soon noticed I had lost her. Not only had had I done that, but I could now see lights. City lights. I wasn't sure whether or not they would accept a wolf girl, but I was going to take my chances. I took a deep breath, and very slowly, started walking toward the lights.
