"HI!" You yelled at me when I first met you. "Hello." My shy, small voice said. "My name is Kang Sunwoo! I live next to you!" In my head I was afraid of his loud voice but began to get used to it as I realized he meant only meant good towards me. "My name is Sung Soojung." His smile grew wider as he got to know more about me. "Let's be friends!" He exclaimed. I agreed and from then on we were always together.
As soon as I had agreed we never split. Even through his complete different personality he had from me I managed to hang on to him. He would get frustrated at times because I was self aware of everything and thought of any possibility of any situation. My parents raised me that way and was a well behaved little 5 year old turning 6. Sunwoo would always come to my door everyday and once we started school he would knock on my door so we could walk together. He was protective of me at all times. Though he may have gotten in trouble he always worried about me first. Things remained the same as time went on. Birthdays, holidays, everything was spent together. He was my best friend.
Once I turned 8 my mom got sick. My dad said it'll be fine it's nothing so I didn't worry much. I haven't spent much time with her lately so I told her we should spend a girls day together, just us. So we did once the weekend came along we planned what we would do and where we would go. We finally decided after staying up pretty late. We would go the next following week on Saturday. I told Sunwoo the next day heading to school about my plans. "Hope you have fun!" Said Sunwoo. "Thanks." I replied. "You should go do something with you family!" I told him. "Well I am going to a concert with my parents..." He paused for a second and looked down. "What's wrong?" I asked after examining his expression. "WELL I THOUGHT IT WAS GOING TO BE A FUN CONCERT BUT ITS JUST A GUY PLAYING A PIANO! I ALREADY PLAY THE PIANO AND NOW I HAVE TO WATCH SOME GUY PLAY IT?!" I calmed him down by telling him how he could hurt his feelings if he heard you and so he felt bad and took it back.
The weekend came along my mom and I were heading out to the car. "I'm excited mom I've been waiting this whole week trying to be as patient as can be!" She smiled so warmly it made me smile. As we were about to get in I hear my name being called from afar. It was Sunwoo dressed all nice for the concert in a tuxedo. "You clean up well." I told him. "Thanks I just came to tell you to have a nice time and my mom told me to give these cookies to you and your mom." He said panting after running out the house next door. "Hi Sunwoo!" My mom said when walking out. "HELLO MRS. SUNG!!! These cookies are for you from my mom!" My mom smiled and told him to thank his mom. He left after saying bye to us. "Bye!" We all said to each other.
We were off and the first place we stopped at was a little park cafe where we ate breakfast. I had orange juice to drink with 1 egg and 2 pieces of bacon. My mom had a stack of 2 waffles with coffee. "Thanks mom this looks good!" As I dug in and shoved my face with food. "You're welcome." She lightly laughed with her beautiful smile. I adored her and I was envious of her. I was thankful she was my mother. We talked for a bit and a hour later we left and headed for the park. We walked along the sidewalk and ended sitting down at a bench to watch fish and talk. "I love the way the fish swim freely around in the pond." I said. "Fish can be as free as the imagine the want to be." My mom told me. "I want you to be as free and imagine as much as you can. Reach for the sky and once you get there go beyond that!" That was another reason I loved my mom so much. The way she thought in her mind were so positive and so full of good! I liked that quality of her and she told me that's what my father told her that her personality and perception of the world was what he adored about her. "I feel the same way dad." I said in my head. We got up and started walking to the car to head to eat lunch. For lunch we just shared a sandwich we got from a local sandwich shop. We went to shop and look at clothes for a while and left to head home and pick up dad so we could eat dinner with him (even though it was a girls day we couldn't be without him.) and so we left. As we pull in the driveway dad came out running giving us hugs as we get out. "I REALLY CANT BE WITHOUT YOU GUYS FOR A DAY!" We could tell he couldn't handle it alone. "I tried talking to my friends but you guys were always on my mind!" We mom told him we came to take him out to eat dinner. He got overjoyed! We enjoyed our food as we got back and I head straight to bed afterwards. I tend to fall asleep quickly. I'm more so a morning person than a night owl. Before I fell asleep I yelled "I love you!" And went to sleep after hearing "I love you too!" From dad and "I love you more!" From mom, who always said that which always made me smile.
