I just finished packing all two of my suitcases and a backpack, as I plop down on my bed with my arms laying above my head.

I just found out yesterday, my parents got divorced when I was little and now I have to go meet him for the first time with my annoying brother. Fun, right?

I've been having all new thoughts running through my head ever since I was told I had a father. What if my family is not telling me other things. I am part of the family and should be able to know everything.

"Cassie, Cam, it's time to leave to your Dad's. It's a long drive, so use the bathroom and eat something." My mom yells from down stairs. I sigh and get off my bed and drag myself to the bathroom.

I go in and close the door. I look in the mirror and see this girl staring back at me. I shake my head and focus again. I use the bathroom and check my make-up.

When I open the door, Cam has a annoyed expression on his face. "What the hell took you so long? I've been waiting for 5 minutes."

"Nothing, I was just using the bathroom jeez." I roll my eyes and push past Cam to get to my room to grab my suitcases and bag.

I walk in a little annoyed from Cam, as I put on my backpack and grab my two suitcases. I look around my room for the last time, until I come back for school. I dread those days coming up.

I close my door as I walk out and take in my surroundings, I'm going to miss home. I walk down the stairs and out to the kitchen to grab a snack for the ride.

I find two bananas on the counter and take them. I resume walking out to the garage, to put my stuff in the trunk.

I walk out to see Cam sitting in shot gun. I roll my eyes and walk to the back of the car to put my suitcases in. I lift them up, and realize how much I packed.

I finally get my over packed suitcases on the trunk and make my way to my seat in the back. I put my bag on the seat next to me and sit down.

"Jeez, how much do you need to pack? You know dad can wash your clothes. You don't need to bring your whole closet." He laughs as I give him a death glare.

"It's always to be safe then sorry. So leave me alone for once." I smile with victory as he doesn't respond. I pull out my headphones, so I don't have to listen to Cam's bad music on the way there.

I plug in the headphones and put them on. I open my phone, to scroll through my music to find a song to play. I smile as I come across the song, "Treat You Better, by Shawn Mendes".

My mom hops on the car and drives off to a unknown place I have never been to. I close my eyes, as I hum to the song. I feel myself slowly drifting off to sleep.

I wake up to a hard slap on my knee, I open my eyes to see my brother smiling at me crazy. I take off my headphone, "what do you want?" I say with a rude tone.

"We're here sassy." He gets out of the car and heads to the trunk to grab his stuff. I look out the window to see this huge house on the beach. There were houses next to it, but not many.

I open my door and hop out. I turn back to the car and grab my bag and put it on my back. My legs feel like jello as I try to walk to the trunk. I yawn as I grab my suitcases and close the trunk.

I walk up to my brother, who is hugging a tall bearded man. I start to feel nervous as I walk closer to the man and my brother.

"Hey, I'm Cassie," I say in a quiet voice as they pull away from their hug. The man looks at me and his eyes go huge.

"Cassie, you've grown into a beautiful young lady!" He walks up to me and hugs me. I awkwardly hug him back. "Thanks," I say a little louder than before.

"Well, let me show you guys your rooms." He smiles and walks to the enormous house.

I take a deep breath as I follow my "so called dad" into the house. This is going to be a long summer.
