As I walk into my dads house, I was amazed at how big it was o the inside. There was a giant stair case in the front of the house.

I explored a little before I went up the stairs to find my room for the summer. As I was walking around I found a room with a huge flat screen and sofas.

I continue to walk around and find normal rooms like a kitchen, laundry room, and bathroom.

I make my way up stairs to see my dad walking out of Cam's room. He smiles as he sees me and walks over.

"I know it's overwhelming to take in everything you've seen today. But I'm here for you." He gives me a hug.

"Thanks", I hug back softly. "Can you show me my room? I don't want to carry this stuff anymore."

"Yeah, of corse." He grabs my bags as he walks down the long hallway. There was pictures of Cam all over. As we walk further down the hall, there were only four pictures of me. My heart sank into my chest as he opened the door to my room.

"Well, this will be your room for the summer. I hope you like it." He sets my bags down on the floor.

The room was a turquoise color with a queen sized bed in the middle of the room, against the wall. The bed had a white comforter with blue and white pillows against the back board. There was a blue blanket at the end of my bed folded. I had a desk by the window that looked out at the beach and a huge walk in closet. My favorite part about the room was the chandelier above my bed.

"Thanks dad, I really like it." I say with a huge smile on my face. I walk over and give him a hug before I walk over to my bags.

I open up my suitcase to see all my clothes in neatly folded piles. I sigh as I have to spend most of the day putting my clothes away.

I walk into the closet and grab a bunch of hangers to start this long, boring experience.

Two hours pass by, when I'm on my piece of clothing. I put it on a hanger and walk into my closet to hang it up.

I walk back out, dragging my feet with me. I fall onto my bed, with my face in the sheets.

As I lay there, I hear a noise coming from my window. I groan as I get up and walk over to the window.

I look out to see this girl about to throw another rock at my window. Once she sees me, she drops the rock and waves.

I open my window, looking at her confused. "Hello? Who are you?" She had bright blue eyes, with long, dark, brown hair. She seemed athletic, but also a little girly. She was wearing a grey tank top with some jeans shorts.

"Hey! I'm Ruby Stone. I heard there was a girl going to be moving in this summer. I wanted to meet her. What's your name?"

"Oh, I'm Cassie. I'm actually this guys daughter. Hold on, wait there." I say as I run over to my door and put on my converses. I run out my door and outside.

I run around to the back to Ruby. When I get there, I'm breathing heavy. "Well, it's nice meet you." She smile and laughs.

I catch my breath and say, "it's nice to meet you too."

"Follow me." She grabs my arm and starts walking to the house next door, which I'm guessing is hers.

We walk inside and into a huge living room. "So, what do you want to do?" She asks as we sit down on the couch.

"I don't know, I have only been here a few hours and don't know what we can do."

She smile and stands back up, "come with me, we're going to the beach. You can borrow one of my bikinis." She grabs my arm again and we walk up to her room.

She walks into her closet and throw a neon pink bikini at me. She comes back out wearing a similar one, but blue.

"Get dressed and I'll meet you out back." She grabs a towel from her closet and walks out.

"This is different." I say to myself as I get into the bikini. I walk into her closet and find a towel.

I find my way out back and to the beach. I walk and look for Ruby, but I run into someone.

"I'm so sorry." I look to see who I ran into and it was a cute guy with blue eyes and brown hair. I froze and stares at him.

"It's fine, it was nothing. I'm Jason." He smiles and it makes my heart drop into my stomach.

"Oh, I, uh am Cassie. I'm new around here." I say stumbling on my words.

"It's nice to meet you Cassie, maybe I can show you around."

My heart just exploded and I want to scream. "That would be really cool." I say as Ruby interrupts me.

"Sorry, but she's with me today." She smiles and holds onto my shoulders.

"Well, I'll see you around Cassie." He gives me a folded piece of paper before he walks away.

As soon as he's far enough, I yell at Ruby. "What the hell?! All we were doing was talking."

"Didn't sound like it to me. I don't want my friend to be crushing on someone already." She laughs as we walk towards the water.

"I'm not crushing, he was just saying hi after I accidentally ran into him." I defend myself.

"Sure, you "accidentally" ran into him." She smirks and walks into the water.

"I'm serious, and I'm not crushing on him." I say rolling my eyes.
