"bye mom, bye dad." i say hugging them one last time.
my mother wipes the tiny tears from her eyes, which were probably fake by the way. and i grab my luggage, pulling it with me as i walk through the gates that would lead me to los angeles.
or to be exact, it would lead me to the plane, that would lead me to los angeles.
i get greeted by the flight attendants, then make my way to the assigned seat i had, which was in first class.
honestly, i didn't really care where i sat, but my parents insisted i had the most comfortable time.
as long as i was away from them, i was the happiest. i mean don't get me wrong, i love my parents. it's just that they were so controlling and, were always the pushing me to do things that i didnt want to do.
i practically begged them for months to let me go on this trip for the summer.
the pilot starts speaking through the intercom telling everyone to put on their seat belts since we were going to take off soon.
i do as he says and buckle my seat belt and then close my eyes.
this was going to be a long flight.

i flicker my eyes open as i feel someone shaking me, which turned out to be a flight attendant.
"ma'am the plane has landed." she says smiling and i nod my head, unbuckling my seatbelt.
i grab my luggage and make my way outside to a bunch of people. i walk in the center of everyone and stand on my tippy toes and i try to look for jack.
jack was my older brother that i would be staying with for the whole summer.
jack was only 3 years older than me. he left when he was 17, leaving me all alone with the control freaks, also known as my parents.
ever since then i haven't seen him, so i was pretty excited.
i look to my left to see if he's there and to my surprise there he is. i grab my luggage and start to run as fast as i could to him, which was pretty hard since there was a bunch of people around me.
"jack!!" i yell as i embrace him in a big hug. he hugs me back while laughing and i let go, noticing how tall he's gotten.
"holy shit, you've grown." i say shocked, he was the same height as me before he left, and now he was towering over me.
"and you're still a midget, just like i remembered you." he says smiling while grabbing my luggage, as we both start walking.
i cross my arms and gawk at what he said. i think i'm pretty tall for my age actually.
we finally get to his car and he puts my luggage into the trunk.
"are you hungry?" he ask me while starting the car and my stomach growls.
"i guess thats a yes" he says laughing, and i laugh back at him.
