*1st person ----'s POV*
"Nnnnn.." I mumbled deliriously as I shifted in the bed I was sleeping in. Suddenly my eyes shot open. When did I get in a bed?
The bright white walls and incandescent light blinded me and I squeezed my eyes shut, afraid of the blinding light awaiting me if I opened them. I took the risk and slowly opened my eyes, allowing them to adjust to the light as I did so.
Once I had fully opened my eyes I took in my surroundings. I am in a hospital gown(naked I might add), my body is no longer cover head to toe with dirt and grime, my hair feels freshly washed having been freed of its matting and tangles, there are IVs in my arms dripping all kinds of liquids down intravenously, tubes seem to be going places where I didn't know I had places, the walls are sterile white and there is a curtain drawn separating my portion of this room from another portion of the room.
I'd only heard of these places called hospitals, but this is truly unbelievable. The place seems so cold and calculating when I compare it to what I'm used to back home-back there.
A nurse pulls open the curtain the was sanctioning my portion of the room. "Well good morning sunshine. You feeling well?" The nurse asks me with her voice bright and cheery.
"Y-Yeah." My voice cracks. I clear my throat. "What happened?" I inquire of the lady, hoping she knows something about what happened.
"We were hoping you'd tell us. We don't even know your name." She says, flipping through the clipboard at the end of the bed.
"My name is Kristofer Francois Thorwelle." I reply to the lady. "But everyone just calls me Kris or K."
"Well Kris you didn't have any identifying documents on you when you showed up, do you know anything that we can use so we know who to bill?" She smiles at me.
I shake my head in reply.
"Well we'll see what we can do. You think you can walk honey?" she asks and offers me a hand when I nod.
"Where are we going?" I ask, looking like a lost puppy being lead by its owner.
"We're just going for a walk that all. It's important you keep a bit active. Plus it's nice outside this morning." She says.
"Wait, morning?" I give her a quizzical look.
"Yeah. You were out for a whole day." She says. You were just diagnosed with extreme exhaustion. You'll probably be out of here by tomorrow." She tells me as we walk down a long white corridor. We arrive at a set of doors leading to a small garden full of flowers and bushes and a single massive tree in the corner covering the entire far corner. the scent of jasmine, tube rose, wisteria, hyacinth, lilac, lavender, and, strangely enough, moonflower. That last one is odd. I was always told it was only found back home. Regardless it was soothing, and there were even some spices growing I only know one though, and that's the thyme that is growing by the doors. at the end there is a large lake over looking a forest and freeze, the nurse noticing and quickly stopping with practice.
"Mrs.Nurse, I-uhh-need to leave." I say quietly, almost afraid that they might hear me. A sense of dread is beginning to rise from the pit of my stomach making me nauseous. I just got away and now I was brought back to the edge of their territory.
