My mother is a hard working business woman. Always striving to achieve and she's a serious perfectionist. Everything she does there's always 110% put into it. Some people say she's bat shit crazy, others say she's a neglecting mother. But I just think she's driven and doing everything in her power to provide for me. My mother worked a lot yes, but she never forgot to pick me up from school, she was always home to cook dinner and place it on a set table. How's that neglection exactly? My father was rarely home, though with good reason. You see my dad was amongst the brave who fought for America. Every day I say a pray and hope that God is listening. I fear that one day the head army officer will come and hand us an envelope before offering his condolence for our lose. I'm only four, I barely know my daddy and I'm not ready to lose him. My daddy's doing something great for America, helping fight for their country, but I don't want him to fight anymore, I don't want to lose him and never see him again. I need my daddy, he's my knight in shinning armour.

"Kiera honey wash your hands dinners ready." Mom says gently from my door. Getting up from my toys I go to the bathroom and wash my hands. Drying them on the towel I make my way down the stairs jumping down each step. Sitting at the table mom places the plate of food before me, then joins me at the table. "How was school honey?" Mom asks and I shrug. "It was ok." I say and she nods before putting some broccoli in her mouth. As we eat I hear the front door open and I look at mom who got up and had a look. I hear her squeal in joy so I get up and look. Seeing my dad stood there in his uniform I smile and run to him. "Kiera my baby girl!" My daddy shouts picking me up and kissing my head. "Daddy your home." I say tears racing down my cheeks at the pure happiness I held for the heavens. He takes me to the kitchen and sits at the table where he put a mouthful of mash into his mouth. "Honey I'm so glad your home." Mommy says coming and sitting next to him and kissing his cheek. He smiles at her and wipes away her tears. "I'm home and I'm gonna be staying home for good." He says and I look at him. "You mean your not going to war anymore?" I ask and he nods. Smiling I wrap my small arms around his strong shoulders and kiss his cheek. "I'm staying home to be with my family." He says and I couldn't stop smiling. I wasn't gonna lose my daddy after all. I be able to come home knowing he's ok, I won't have to fear the letters in the mail box or the dreaded army guy that just gives bad news. My dad was back in England and he was going to be here to stay. No more leaving to the United States to fight with the American soldiers that go to war for their country. He was home where he belongs, where he can look after mommy and I.
