Maya's POV
Ugh! It's only a week before me and Riley would be going to NYU together and I am no where near prepared or excited. Riley is super happy about going but I wasn't feeling it . I mean it would be kinda fun going out to parties and the college boys but what if Riley makes friends and I don't, what if I'm a loner , what if I don't get good grades , what if I don't find love !? Stop and calm down I tell myself, it's going to be fine. It's still a week away right and the good thing is me and Riley are sharing a dorm together.
It's 11:55, shoot Im meant to be at Riley's house in five minutes to go shopping for university.I grab my bag and car keys and headed to Riley's as fast as the speed limit would allow me .

"Sup losers " I called as I walked into the Matthews sitting room. "Maya!!!" Riley shouted excitedly " I think our dorm room should be three walls light grey and one wall turquoise!"
I smiled "Sure honey what ever you want " That was the cheerful Riley I love and know .
We head to a stationary shop first . It was so colourful ugh !! Riley darted around the shop picking up anything and everything with purple. I looked in the art section, there was such a variety but I couldn't afford to buy everything as much as I would love to. I picked up the essentials I needed and we paid for our things .
We sat down in Riley's favourite cafe for lunch . I was quite worn out from the shopping we had done . She rambled on about NYU but I kinda zoned out so she went in her phone . Moments later she smiled and looked up "Maya I just got a text from NYU and we can unload our stuff anytime this week plus we get a tour from an older student !"
"Cool riles" I reply "what day suits you "
"How about four days from now, Thursday?"
"Works for me " I say
" Great so it's sorted " Riley says eagerly " Let's continue our shopping, I saw a cute top over in Plush "
We continued shopping until we couldn't walk anymore and headed home.
I decided I would stay for dinner and went back to my place.
