When Taehyung, Jungkook and Hoseok got home, they got informed about the death of Jin. There were many reactions: disbelief, denial, sorrow and then just nothing, just bitter numbness.
Jimin, Taehyung, Jungkook, Namjoon and Hoseok were a mess. They always forgot to eat. Whenever one of them actually made food, everyone felt sick to their stomachs. They never left the house because the world seemed dull. All of them seemed empty now without Jin. Jin who was pretty much their mom. The one who took care of them. The one who saved them.
Jin was gone and they were hopeless.

Jin's funeral was after a week. He really did commit suicide, drug overdose to be more precise.
None of the boys believed it.
They were getting dressed for the funeral. They had to go soon since they were pretty much Jin's family. Jin had no biological family. His parents died when Jin was still young so he didn't remember his parents. No grandparents or aunts or uncles or any other relatives showed up to take Jin, so he was put in an orphanage. No one adopted him so he rotated out of the system.
He inherited a large sum of money from his parents though. Enough to last him a lifetime, so life wasn't too bad.
As to why the boys were pretty much Jin's family.
Jin had saved most of them from homelessness or something.Jin found Jimin sleeping on a park bench, shivering from the cold autumn wind. Jin had taken Jimin home for the night, Jin offered Jimin to stay for as long as he liked. Jimin said no but soon Jimin found himself coming back more and more until he finally moved in. Jin was very happy that day.
One day Jimin carried in bloodied and beaten Jungkook and Taehyung. Jimin said that he found them in an alleyway. Jin had nursed the two back to health. Once they were fully recovered, Jin offered them to stay with him and Jimin. They said yes almost immediately.
Hoseok had tried to pickpocket Jin but was caught by Jimin. Jin had given Hoseok a long ass lecture and then invited him for tea. Both Hoseok and Jimin were very shocked at the invite. Hoseok said "no" politely and left. Jin did not give up though. Jin kept pestering Hoseok all the time, slowly befriending the pickpocketer. After many meetings and bought stuff, Hoseok also moved in. Jimin was still bitter over the pickpocket incident.
Namjoon was a homeless dude Jin kept his eye on. He learned his routine and Jin was planning on asking him if he would want some help. On the day Jin was planning on asking, Namjoon wasn't in his usual place. Jin looked around and found him in a nearby alleyway. Namjoon was badly beaten and he was bleeding. Jin took Namjoon to the hospital he worked as a nurse in. Namjoon got treated, Jin payed the bill and then Jin took Namjoon home, well, it wasn't like he had a choice.
Jin was their saviour, they might of not know it at those times but now they are thankful for everything Jin did for them. They never got the chance to pay Jin back.

They had finally finished getting dressed for the funeral. All of them were wearing simple black suits.
They exited the apartment and waited in the hallway for Namjoon to lock up. They silently took the elevator to the bottom level. The boys exited the elevator and the building so they started to walk towards Namjoon's car. Namjoon sat in the driver's seat, Hoseok was in the passenger seat, Jimin, Taehyung and Jungkook sat in the back.
The ride was pretty much silent except for the soft music from the radio that played in the background. No one tried to start conversations and most of them were just staring out of the windows. The weather outside was a cloudy, the sun nowhere to be seen.
The ride to the funeral home was only 10 minutes but these 10 minutes seemed to last for forever in the thick silence. When they finally got there, it seemed like the clouds had darkened a bit, hopefully it wouldn't rain.
They went inside and they went to the room where Jin's funeral will be held. The room was mostly empty except for a stranger sitting in the last pew.
The stranger had a black hat and it seemed like they were wearing a black jacket over a white shirt. They had black pants and black boots.
The five men stood in the doorway awkwardly. They were surprised that someone was already here even though the funeral officially started in 25 minutes. The boys decided there was no point in standing in the doorway, so they started to move forward. They stopped walking when they reached the stranger.
The stranger had faded mint hair that looked ridiculously soft. They had fair skin. They were now staring at the boys, eyes wide.
"Kookie?" the stranger said in disbelief.
"Yoongi?"
