(A/N: So, here it is...the 1st chappy of my fantasy story. Hope you'll like it..comments and advices are allowed.)

*Sigh*

Without those rings that hug my delicate fingers, I’m powerless. I’ve been searching for years for those rings I’ve lost count. But to my misfortune, years I’ve lent seeing were wasted.

So, here I am again, trying for another search in this country---the Philippines.

Oh well, aside from it matches the statements written in the prophecy---a place where the sun and moon is seen clearly. I’ve been here for almost a month. But the first thing that requires me to do is….adjusting with the climate.

Here, I’ve learned that there are only two seasons: Wet and Dry.

It kinda bores me because it means that I won’t be able to experience the coolness of the snow as I stay here. But if my luck blooms here, then it’s way better than the relaxing sensation that the snow could give.

I’m now walking in the hallway, heading to my respective classroom. Students are chattering with their pals, sharing some gossip of some nonsense stuff. I passed through them hastily, silently wishing that no one would ever notice my existence.

I successfully reached the door of our classroom, with a plate above it saying, “IV- Lavender”. Sections in this school were named after flowers.

As I took a step inside after opening the door, pairs of eyes gazed upon me, but they look away uninterestedly upon finding out it was merely their introvert classmate. Buzzing---is what’s happening inside the four corners while there’s still a vacant time waiting for our adviser to show off.

Unlike most countries I’ve done searching, this country is quite tiring and demanding. Why? Class hours are lengthened, from 7am-5pm. Maybe you’ll ask me why do I need to study if my business here in the human world is to find and collect all the forbidden rings?

Well, being exiled here requires me to live like them too. It will make my mission easier and faster. And besides, school is the perfect place where I can encounter numerous people---and 8 out of thousands students might be the ring keepers.

I just assumed it, but we can’t say, there’s a possibility that some keepers aren’t student…..maybe a job applicant, a street sweeper..who knows?

I’m smart, no jests involved, but compared to these humans, I’m way intelligent. Yet I don’t use my skills and wisdom just to impress and collect medals here though. To clear things up, I’m a mere student, no medals nor sashes….but more knowledgeable.

It’s already noon time, students are mostly heading to the school cafeteria where they buy there foods. Humans call this as “lunch”. For them, it’s an hour break for eating and rest…but for me, nah-uh. It’s time for searching. I study in every place I go seeking because in school, thousands of people are in.

I’m trying my luck entering in school to find my chance in identifying the keepers of the rings.

This whole hour of staring and feeling the people’s aura that are passing by, was no difference with those days that I failed.

As I lie down on my soft, comfortable bed and made a contact with my ceiling for few minutes, I sighed exasperatedly. I took a glance on my glass hour. Time’s running…it won’t wait for me. Whether  I’ll keep searching or not, it’s still wasting.

I think it’s time to change my strategies in seeking. Sad to admit, but those tactics I’m using for years seem useless. I have to try a better technique. Maybe, being an extrovert won’t hurt that much.

It’s in the middle of the night when the door of my dorm creaks.. a signal that my dorm mate arrives. Duh~! Her “tip-toes” won’t leave me in deep slumber. To tell you, my senses are many times sharper than a mortal.

Every night she enters our dorm late, I’ll just ignore her and pretend that I’m in my dreamland. This time is different. I’m an extrovert now,  ain’t I? Ok here it is…inhale, exhale.

I faced the other side of my bed, furrowed my eyebrows as I stared at her stupid position…a typical girl who’s in a halt with her “ti-toe” style.

“Where have you been?” I asked nonchalantly, setting aside the thought of me being rude. Duh~! I don’t even know her, and now I’m asking her like someone she’s close with? Of course not..oh please!

I’m pretty sure that she was frightened by my sudden consciousness (a fake one though).

“O-oh! I’m sorry if I wake you up”, she apologized stuttering.

“No. It’s ok. Not a big deal for me, I should be the one saying sorry for frightening you.”

And my statement lightens her apologetically face.

“Hey! We’ve been dorm mates for almost a month yet this is the first time I heard your voice!”, she uttered with orbs enlarging. I can’t help myself from giggling.

“Oh wait! Am I hearing it right? You’re giggling!”,

“Yeah.”

“Glad you’ve finally went out from your box! I’m Angelica Sparks by the way.”

“Cleverine Paltrow’s the name.”

We then shook hands.

“So, you don’t mind answering my question, d’you?”

“Well, I’d hang out with my friends. Wait! I think you need to socialize…so, tomorrow morning, I’ll introduce you to my pals. Great, isn’t it?”

“Nice idea”---were the words I only managed to say. I’m not expecting that socializing will ensue in no time……but….I think it’s better.
