Chapter 3- Escaping and meeting the group

FRANCE

MAY, 1576

Getting out of this crummy place was not as hard as you may think. In fact it only took me about 3 seconds to think of the plan  and I knew it would only take a couple of hours to execute it.

“We’re going to get them drunk,” I said to my cellmates.

“Who?” Zip-line looked at me strangely.

“The guards,” I answered. After they still looked at me like I was an idiot, I explained further, “they always drink at night when doing the night shift. So all we have to do is get them to drink a little more than they usually do, and then BAM, a perfect escape.” I smiled at them until they got it.

“You are insane,” Zip-line chuckled while shaking his head.

“I prefer evil genius,” I smiled as they got up to rest before our escape, which would commence at last light.

Once the sun set over the horizon I was off to work my crafty magic on the guards.

“Hey,” I said to the guard who was the one on the nighttime shift.

“What?” he said a little groggily. Perfect, he’s already tipsy, I thought now I just have to get him drunk enough to pass out.

“I was just wondering,” I paused until he looked at me, then drove in the blow that would guarantee our freedom. “How can you be such a light weight?”

“Excuse me?” he got up, swaying a little bit.

“Your excused,” I smirked at him, “all I wanted to know is why you are such a light weight, because you have only had a couple glasses of beer, and you’re already drunk.”

“I am not a light weight,” he tried to walk, but to no avail, so he just stood still.

“Yes you are, because I am a girl and I can drink more than you can,” there that got his attention.

“Really? Well then I will just have to out drink you then,” he threw his cup to the side and grabbed the bottle. Gulp after gulp he drained the whiskey, and when that was finished he fell into a heap on the floor.

That was too easy, I thought. I pull out the keys and put each one in the keyhole until I heard a click. Swinging the door open, I went out to make sure the guard was out cold. After I check and get the all clear signal to the guys, I raced to all of the cells and released the rogues inside. Once everyone was out I grabbed Snake, Zip-line, and Tree Trunk and ran out of the cell room. I lead us to the weapons room and told them to get the weapons that the guards took away from them from when they were captured. Snake was also instructed to grab my bow and arrow while I kept guard outside to make sure no stray guards decided to take a visit.

"Here," Snake said from behind me. I took the bow and quiver from his hands and signaled for everyone to follow behind me, but silently. We only met up with a few guards, but I quickly took them down. Now before you ask, no, I didn't kill them, but they will definitely feel the blow to the head in the morning or whenever they wake up.

We all broke out of the tower which held the cells and such, and we moved onto a very promising stable.

With no stable boy around it was quite easy to get all of the horses sattled up and ready to go. I made sure to get my little group horses and to all that didn't have them, well they were going to have to run.
