Chapter 3

***Hayden's POV***

Cameron left after that stating that he had something to do but i knew he just felt that awkward silence that was around us. I looked at Dominic and smiled. He had been staring at the floor sitting across from me, and finally said “I know you're staring at me.” He smiled looking up at me. I blushed and looked down and started playing with my fingers not knowing what to say when i felt him kneel in front of me. How did he get in front of me so quick? “Its ok you can look. I can never stop looking at such a beautiful girl like you.” he said smiling. I couldn’t believe what he had said. “I’m not that beautiful you know.” He lifted my chin up to make me look into his eyes and said “You are to me. Never think otherwise love.” He smiled and looked at me and was ready to place a kiss on my lips but the doorbell and he just sighed and got up looking at me and said “I’m guessing that is your friend?” I looked at him and a little disappointed that we had been interrupted. I opened the door to find Sophia with bags of food and looked at me with concerned eyes. “What happened?” I looked at her and smiled a little, “My mom left again for some travel work thing..” i told her. She looked at me and hugged me with the bags in her hands. “Its ok, I’m here for you ok? That’s why i bought junk food and movies to spend time.” she said smiling trying to lift my mood up. As just as she said that Dominic walked up behind me and said “I’ll leave you two to spend time.” He looked at me and smiled. Wow did he have a gorgeous smile. He leaned down and placed a kiss on my lips softly and i felt that spark in me. I couldn't get enough of it. “I’ll be in the living room while you guys finish ummm, yeah.” Sophia said winking at me and walked away. I laughed a little and looked at him, “You don’t have to go you know. Maybe you can stay?” I said with a little hope in me that he would stay. “I think its best that you spend it with your friend plus I’ll be back in the morning ok?” He looked at me with a little pain in his eyes as if he actually didn’t want to leave. I nodded in agreement. We hugged and with that he left. 

I spent the rest of the night with Sophia talking avoiding the fact that my mother left. To think that I’d be use to the fact that she leaves for so long but it gets harder each time. By the time we finished the movie and food it was late. We both went upstairs to change and go to bed. The house was utterly for my liking, my brother had sent me a txt that he wouldn’t be back till tomorrow. We layed in bed and just getting lost in my thoughts. “You ok?” Sophia looked at me with concern. I knew she cared a lot. “How can she leave like that? I...I didn’t get a chance to tell her about Dominic.” i told her. She smiled faintly and surprised me with her next words “She’d be happy that you're smiling again. He seems like he cares so much for you. And you deserve it.” I sat up looking at my hands and looked at her “You deserve happiness as well. I’m sure you’ll find someone who cares just as much.” She nodded and turned her back on me and silently fell asleep. So i layed back down and let my mind drift away. 

The next morning I was surprised that Sophia was in the shower. I sat up looking at the window. It had been gloomy today. So i decided to pick some sweats and a hoodie for today. When i had picked what i was going to wear Sophia came out already change and smiled happily “Good Morning! Hurry and change, so we can have breakfast and go to school.” I smiled and nodded and went to shower. I stood in the shower letting the warm water hit my skin getting lost in my thoughts. 

I finished and walked down the steps already changed and looked at Sophia, she had been wearing some dark skinnies and a hoodie as well with a messy bun. We sat in silence eating. It felt good just having the quietness around us. Sometimes we didn’t have to say anything and still have a good time. She looked up at me “Someone is at the door.” Her voice came out serious, i looked at her confused as she got up and walked to the door and opened to find Dominic standing in front. He was wearing some jeans that hung a little low from his hips and a tight black shirt outlining his every muscle. From my view he was just drop dead gorgeous. He looked at Sophia with hard eyes when a growl came out of no where. “Did you guys hear that?!” I said a little freaked out. Sophia straighten herself up still not dropping her gaze from Dominic, “I’ll see you at school Hayden.” and with her last words she walked away. I looked at her confused, “Wait why? Come back!” i yelled trying to walk by but Dominic grabbed my arm and held me in place “Let her go, she’ll talk to you later.” he told me offering me a small smile. I looked at him and ripped my arm from him “Why is she acting like that? She was fine last night and this morning.” I told him with my voice came out a little too loud, but what had surprised me was that his eyes became darker and he had clenched his jaw line. “Don’t yell at me.” His voice was covered in anger but with a mixture of a growl, this was new to me. i Backed away a little, scared of this side of him. His eyes soften and embraced me with a hug and nestled his face on to my neck “I’m sorry, i just...sorry. Come on we’ll be late love.” He looked down at me with a smile. I nodded walking back to get my bag and keys and walked out the door with Dominic by my side. We walked in silence since i didn’t know what to say. Something was up and i was Going to find out.

Hey guys! so i decied to update again, i know this chapter was kinda lame but it'll get better i Promise (: anyways, what did you think on this chapter?! Wonder what Sophia is hiding in her sudden change of attitude!? Till Next time guys!
