I woke up to a weirdly quiet room. I wandered over to the TV stand and there was a note that read.
"Hey. Clodaghs first round is at 9.00am, please make sure your down, she wants you to be there."
I checked my phone and it read 8:15am, whoops only 45 minutes to get ready!
I jumped into the shower and quickly got dry afterwards. I went over to my suitcase and picked out a black off the shoulder top and a white skirt.

I left my hair down as it was already straight and then I grabbed my white strappy sandals and slipped them on

I left my hair down as it was already straight and then I grabbed my white strappy sandals and slipped them on. Luckily I got my nails done before we came on holiday or else my feet would be looking disgusting! I grabbed my phone and the room key and then left the room. I speed walked down to the elevators and jumped in the one that came first. There was a girl in a full wig and her makeup smeared under her eyes where it looked like she'd been crying. They got out 2 floors below me so I turned around and took a quick selfie in the mirror for snapchat and found the Orlando filter and slid it across and then posted it on my story. The elevator dinged and I got out and walked through the busy lobby. People were having photos beside the huge water fountain in the middle and I found myself weaving through them all to get through to the ball room. As I walked into the room, the familiar heavy jig music was playing and I texted my mum asking where she was sitting and she replied immediately saying she was sat near the front. I saw her stand up and then I began walking towards her. Just as I sat down, Clodagh and two other girls came on stage. The music began and they started dancing. I was tapping her steps out on my fingers and she was dancing insane. Her rhythm was loud and crisp and she was at the front for pretty much the whole dance. She finished her step, bowed and walked off stage. She came over and sat next to me on the seats. I undid the back of her dress and she sat in her red bloomers and white sports bra. She undid her heavy shoes straight away and put her light shoes on. She put white tape around the top and then brung her knees up to her chest.
"How did I do?" She asked barely even panting anymore
"You did really well, I bet you've gotten the recall"
"I hope so. I'm so nervous for my light round"
"You'll be fine, you won last year!" I said
"Just dance your best. Dance as if your at class and the little ones are looking up to you".
All of a sudden she began crying.
"I'm so sorry." She said
"For what?" I replied
"I have been so snobby for ever. I used to walk around like I thought I was the queen. remember that feis when you won the prelim and I didn't even congratulate you, yet every time I won you congratulated me! And when you told mum and dad you were quitting I didn't even say anything, I should've stuck up for you but I didn't. I was the bratty little sister and did nothing about it. I can't believe how mean I've been to you but you just shake it off."
"Clodagh" I said and she paused
"It's fine I'm not bothered it's in the past"
"But that's what you always say. You always say 'I'm fine' but your not. I know your not. I know how much you love dance. I know how much you cried that night, I sat outside your room listening to you. I wish I had come in but I didn't because I thought you were joking."
"Clodagh, it's in the past. I've not quit dance! We're going to the worlds together! That night made me stronger. Every time you went to dance I practised. I practised so hard that I could barely move. I woke up at 6 every morning to stretch. I was doing sit ups and push ups when you thought I was doing homework. Those weeks made me the dancer I am today and I can't thankyou enough for pushing me to work that hard to be noticed by you, our dance teachers and of course mum and dad. Now let's focus on you and getting you ready for your light round. Come on let's go and get a Starbucks.
