Chapter 1

(Dusty's POV)
"WAKE UP YOU BRATS!!!" I heard Mrs. Demon yell. "Yes Mrs. Dottie!" We all yelled. I woke up and put on my "butter" shirt and my skinny jeans. I walk downstairs and met up with Hannah to make breakfast. We pull out some pancake mix, eggs, and bacon and start. After we finish we take a piece of bacon and start our chores. Since were not "perfect" we don't get a full meal. "DUSTY SOMEONE IS ON THE PHONE FOR YOU!" I hate when she yells. She sounds like a dying cat. "Coming" I muttered. I walk down stairs receiving dirty looks from the "prissy queens". I reach Mrs. Demon's office and she gives me the phone. "Hello?" I ask "Hi, my name is Mike, is your name Dusty?" "Yes" "Well, we found out you have a brother in Washington." My eyes widen.
"R-Realy?" "Yes, tomorrow I will pick you up to take you there. Okay?" "Okay" "Goodbye" he hung up.

(Time Skip to After Packing)

"THIS IS SO EXCITING!" Hannah screeched. "I know! I remember having a brother and two sisters but never thought they would adopt me!" This was true. I thought my siblings didn't care about me. I guess I was wrong. My sisters left to live with my grandma a year before the crash. "I almost forgot the locket!" I told Hannah. (By the way we share a bunk/room) I had a gold locket with a picture of my family in it. That was one thing I got to keep from my old home. Hannah and I decided it would be fun to visit the park before I leave. We were the only ones older than 8 in the park. Considering we were both 14 it was kinda weird. I went down the slide like 200 times and got dizzy so I sat down. Now that I remember it I have a lot of friends in Washington. I used to go to an orphanage there for 3 years. I even had a boyfriend for 2 years until I had to move. I was brought out of my thoughts by someone pushing me from behind. Great, Ava.
