"So, what happened?" Kai asked. I sighed and told him everything from the start of lunch time.

"Wait, what's with you two?" He asked. I furrowed my eyebrows. "What do you mean by 'you two'?" He shrugged. "You and Sehun. I mean, he acts so intimate towards you."

"He does?" I asked. Well, come to think of it, at times he does act intimate towards me. But that doesn't mean anything, right? "Hmm, by what you told me. Yes, he does. So, back to my original question. What's going on between you two?" He asked. We were halfway near the infirmary, enough time to tell him everything. This is the first time I'm actually cursing this damned school. I wish the infirmary and cafeteria wasn't at both ends of the school.

"Any time now, sweetheart." Kai said, obviously waiting for the details. I sighed heavily. "Fine. But don't tell anyone, okay?" He nodded. "Okay, the thing is... The thing is, Sehun is one of the two candidates to be my potential f-fiancée. There I said it." Kai's eyes widen about the fact that Sehun could be my fiancée.

"So, I can't court you?" He whispered but loud enough for me to hear. "Technically, you can because the last decision is still up to me. Why? Did you have plans on courting me?" I asked. He rolled his eyes at me. "Why would I even ask you out if I didn't have intentions of courting you?" I was taken aback by his answer. "Oh." was all I could say.

So he wanted to court me. Why am I so oblivious?

"Are you okay?" Kai asked, pulling me from my thoughts. I nod. "Don't stress about it. I just like you. It's no big deal." He gave a reassuring smile. "Yes it is. It's your feelings! You can't just ignore that. Ignoring the feelings of others... It's rude and evil! Just like... Never mind." I stated. He smiled warmly at me. I don't know if it's possible but when he smiles, he looks more... attractive.

"W-what did you like about me?" I asked looking down at the floor. He paused for a moment. "Hmm... Oh wait, were here." I looked up; we were in front of the infirmary. I quickly opened the door. Kai came in and placed Tao gently on the bed. "Where's the nurse?" I muttered.

While tucking Tao under the covers he said "It's the 24th, our school nurse's day off." I nodded. After he finished what he was doing he turned to me. "We might as well look after him since no one's around."

We sat on the comfy bench near Tao's bed. Silence filled us as we both stare at the sleeping boy on the bed. "So..." He started, breaking the silence. "So?" I mimicked. "You asked earlier what I liked about you and I want you to hear my answer." He said. I looked down at my palms that were sitting on my lap. I nod and say "Go on."

He sighed heavily. "Well, first off, you're not like the other people at this school. You don't go to a huge extent to make yourself beautiful, I like your simplicity. And you especially don't obsess about yourself. Second, you have your own ways of expressing your thoughts. Third, you care about others more than you care about yourself. Like how you cared for my feelings earlier. And lastly, you're beautiful inside and out." I can still feel his gaze on me. I swallowed the lump in my throat, uncomfortably.

This is the first time someone said those kinds of things to me. I can hear sincerity in his voice. Oh how I wish I can return those feelings.

"Luhan, come on. At least say something." Kai said. I looked at him. "I punched him on the arm lightly. "I-I'm manly not beautiful!" I protested, trying to ease the awkward atmosphere. "Uh, h-how do you know all that? I mean, you don't talk to me much. Yet, you say those things like you and I have known each other for so long." He scratched the back of his head and said "Let's just say that I've seen you lots of times before."

I raised a brow at him. He chuckled. "Okay, okay. I've known you for quite some time now. And I've been kind of watching... You." I raise my eyebrows, clearly shocked by his confession.

"Stop being so silent! I'm making a complete fool out of myself" He said, laughing. A smile slowly curls up my lips. Why can't I have him for a candidate fiancée? He's so much better than Sehun. Way better.

"I'm not really asking you to return my feelings. I just wanted you to know since you asked. And it would really mean so much if you consider that date I was asking for." He gave a toothy grin. I smirked at him. "I didn't say that I wouldn't go did I?" His eyes lit up. "So you're saying that our date later is still on?" He asked, amusement filled his eyes as he was looking at me. "Yeah, it might be fun."

After a while, we were starting to warm up to each other. Our constant teasing and joking really gives out a light atmosphere between us. It's really rare for me to get close to someone in a short period of time. Well, that's a first. I've been having a lot of firsts the past couple of days. Maybe that's good, who knows.

"So, you put a fake man's head and then what?" Kai asked. I was currently telling him the prank Chen and I pulled off earlier. He was laughing so hard that his face was turning red. "He screamed -laughs- and -gasps- fell down his bed." I said trying to conceal my laugh but was completely failing.

In the midst of our conversation, the door flew open. It made a loud thudding sound. Both of us turn to the doorway.

Speak of the devil, it's Sehun.

Oh, great. Another problem. I groan inwardly and put on my cold attitude. "You really are inconsiderate. Can't you see that someone is sleeping? Are you that rude?" I asked folding my arms across my chest.

He scoffed. "Aren't you supposed to be in class instead of flirting here?" I scowled at him. How dare he say that! I clench my knuckles. I take deep breathes to calm myself down but it was no use. This bastard is such an asshole.

"What are you doing here anyway?" I snapped. He smirked and leaned on the door. "I could ask you the same thing, Hannie."

"Well I'm sure as hell I'm not looking for someone to fuck. How about you?" I sneered. By the way he clenched his hands I'm sure he was pissed off. He's can't just assess someone as a flirt and get away with it. "Guy, guys, could you stop it? Don't fight. And Sehun, that's not how you speak to someone." Kai tried stopping us from fighting. But of course, it was to no avail. "Fuck off, Kim Jongin. I wasn't talking to you!" He snarled. Kai went near him, trying to calming him down. But instead of calming down, Sehun punched him.

My eyes widen in shock as I look at Kai lying on the floor. His lip was busted. It was bleeding. I rush to his side to help him up. "Are you okay?" I asked. He groaned a little but nodded. I took my handkerchief out and gently wiped the blood off.

Before I register what was happening, I suddenly got dragged away from Kai. Sehun was holding me by my arm and was pulling me roughly. "Let me go, Thane." I warned. He ignored me. I felt heat run up my face. Not because of embarrassment but because of anger. And before I knew it, I grabbed his arm and twisted it. He yelped in pain. I kicked him behind his knees making him fall on the floor. Right now, to sum it up, he was kneeling in front of me while I'm twisting his arm. "Never, ever do that to again." I hissed before letting him go. I turn around and left him groaning on the floor.

I went back to the infirmary. When I got there Kai was sitting on the sofa wiping his lip with my handkerchief while Tao is already awake. I went near her. "Hey, you feeling okay?" I asked. He smiled and nodded. "Thank you, for caring for me despite of all the things I did to you."

I shake my head. "Nah, it was nothing. I'm sorry if we woke you up." He gave me a tight smile. "Luhan, I'm sorry. I'm sorry for everything that I have done to you. I don't even know why I did that but I really am sorry." He said, holding my hand with both of her hands.

"You're forgiven." I smiled. Turning away, I look at Kai. "Hey, you okay?" I asked taking a seat beside him. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just a little cut." He said, pressing the handkerchief on the side of his lip.

"What's wrong with your friend? I swear, that guy is bipolar." I sighed. He looked at me incredulously. "What? You seriously don't know why he snapped like that?" I rolled my eyes. "I wouldn't ask if I knew." He chuckled. "Well, I'm not one hundred percent sure that my hunch is correct but..." He trailed off. I arch my brow. "But what?" He shrugged. "Nothing. It's better if you find out for yourself and besides I told you it was just a hunch."

"Fine." I said. I turn to Tao and ask. "Are you well enough to go back to class?" he nodded. I sighed and stood up. "Let's go then."
