"Hi, I'm Lyn. I guess people wouldn't consider me to be the 'average teen', but I guess I'm pretty decent. I'm not an exciting person, don't get me wrong. Not to be the cliché teen by saying 'I'm still trying to find me'. My dad said I should start taping how I feel. That it'll make everything okay again, but it's just not the same without Mom around. I hope she's happy with Jeremy. I'll talk later, bye." Lyn switched her new camera off and shoved it in her book bag just in case she needed it.
She opened the white doors to her closet and peered at the neatly hung ,and organized by color, tees. She grabbed a really cute black tee with lace around the bottom and a moon printed on it in white. Then, she found her favorite jeans and quickly put them on. Lyn swiped her bag off the ground.
She walked swiftly down the corridor so her father wouldn't yell at her about running. She emerged into the kitchen and grabbed her lunch off the black, granite countertop. Her dad sat at the table with his usual coffee mug in his hands and expectant look on his face.
"Lyn? Are you okay?" He tapped his fingers on his mug.
"Um, yeah, Dad. I'm just in a slight hurry." She replied quietly.
"Okay, Sweetie. Did you start videoing?" He asked calmly.
"Yeah, Dad. I gotta go, okay?" Lyn checked the time, "I'm gonna be late."
"Okay. See you, if your up. I won't be home until 2 A.M." He said.
"Bye." She walked out the door.
Lyn stepped outside the back door. The sun had already risen and was too bright for her eyes to bear. The school was perfectly placed just across the cemetery, so it wasn't that far of a walk.
It was already up to 75 degrees and it was only 7:30 A.M, that afternoon was going to be worse, so Lyn contemplated her planning as she continued across the cemetery. Then she trotted down a slight hill into the student parking lot. She ignores the preps' "fuck you"s and made it into he massive metal doors of the school.
The bell rang for lockers and students flooded the hallways. Lyn's locker was just a couple feet next to the front entrance anyways, so she had a mass amount of time to get her first three periods' journals and binders together. She reached into her book bag and retrieved the camera out. She sat it on the shelf at the top of her locker.

Little was said in her first two periods. It was merely a normal amount of note passing, texting, and the teacher scribbling on the white board with an extra squeaky marker. Luckily Lyn had all her work finished for the week in those classes, so she had free time to plan the day.Third period rolled around. Mr. Cason was sick and the substitute was playing on her phone as Lyn walked in. The preps were propped up on the desks in mid-gossip and giggling. One of them sat on Lyn's desk.
Lyn continued by them with her head down. She felt something hit the back of her head lightly.
"Let me guess? Little Ms. Know It All was trying oh so hard to get by us?" A girl mocked her. Her stereotypical bleached blonde hair hung down her back and her face was uncomfortably caked with make up about 40 shades darker than her actual skin.
"No, Jade." Lyn mumbled.
"Oh, look at me I'm Lyn Stratton. I'm so very awkward." Jade grabbed the note books of the other preps and pressed them against her chest, "I have no sense of style, music, or, clearly, any form of attractiveness."
At that note, the others just simply laughed.
"Freak." Jade said as she chucked the note books at Lyn's face.
"Bitch." Lyn mumbled.
Jade obviously couldn't hear her over her obnoxious laughter along with the others'. Lyn simply walked to the back and sat down with a journal open and her red ink pen.
Note: Jade is a royal bitch with too much make up. Is it a Halloween mask? Or just her being insecure?
Answer: both. She put the pen down.
