Lyn blushed massively, "I'm so sorry! You can have the booth! You were here first!"
"No, you can! I think you were here first!" He put his hands up like he was caught committing a crime.
"You both managed to take a seat at the same time." Walter laughed, "Lyn this is Kevin Ghost. Y'know the lead singer of Ghost Town. He's our little surprise."
"THAT'S WHY YOU LOOK SO FAMILIAR!" Lyn yelled in shock accidentally.
"Shhh! Do you want people to notice!" Walter scolded Lyn.
"Sorry. I just... Sorry." She said as she rubbed the back of her neck.
Kevin laughed and Lyn blushed even more. His laugh was so adorable. She swiftly pulled out her note book.
"Haha, I almost forgot, I have an essay due." She started writing rapidly.
Walter swiped the note book out of her hands, "NOPE! Not tonight, Little Ms. Zombie. That essay isn't due until the 5th week of school. Communicate, join the human realm, make more friends than just Tommy."
"I need that essay done!" Lyn said in a shill voice.
"It's coming with me. No promises that Tommy won't copy it." Walter walked off.
"Damn it." Lyn muttered.
Kevin laughed again, which made Lyn smile awkwardly. She felt slightly insecure and, no thanks to Walter, alone. Kevin Ghost is one of those people who are considerably perfect. Lyn wasn't even close to it.
"So, um, what exactly does Walter have planned?" Lyn put her hands in her lap and twiddled her thumbs nervously.
"Just for me to sing a few songs and chill. This place is pretty cool. Why do you come here to do homework?" Kevin gave Lyn a slightly questionable look.
"Well, my dad isn't home often and Tommy, Walter's little brother, is my only friend. I guess it's just a good place to escape to without my dad worrying too much." Lyn said as she looked at the table.
"Oh, Walter emailed me a week ago wanting me to do this, so that's basically why I'm here." Kevin looked into Lyn's eyes.
His eyes are so blue, Lyn thought, they're like the sky. She thought he was so perfect and calm. He seemed so sweet and shy.
"So, what do you like to do?" He said.
"All I ever do is study or observe people. I don't really have a hobby or any talent." Lyn frowned, "It's funny that in order to feel like we are successful, we waste years and years on something that is inevitably forgotten or wrecks our lives all together. I really don't like studying or being smart, I want to live and have fun with my time. I feel like I'm in a current wading to its beat and not moving freely."
"Then don't worry about being successful. Don't get me wrong, success is good, but why feel trapped your whole life?" Kevin put his feet in the booth and leaned his back on the wall.
