Unexpected

New Beginnings

2 years earlier:

Victoria walked out of her office building, relieved to finally be out of her now old job. It wasn't that she didn't love her job. The job was good pay, her boss was the sweetest person, and she wasn't on her feet all the time. It just happened that writing up reports and scheduling meetings tired her out, mostly because she was approaching her due date.

Upon entering her house, she was surrounded by memories. The pictures that made her heart ache, boxes filled with every belonging that wasn't his, the coat still hanging up on the rack, his shoes untouched from the last time he was there.

Victoria picked up a frame and traced her finger around the man in the picture. She couldn't help but let a tear slip out, missing him more than ever. She look up and closed her eyes.

"My new beginnings are all for you. I'm going to make you proud." She stated.

Victoria then called up her mom, saying she was ready to go and start fresh. She knew the aching in her heart wouldn't just go but she knew it would fade. She knew he would always have a special place in her heart no matter what happened. She was taken out of her little day dream when her mother approached her saying the movers had began to pack up the boxes. She was finally ready to let go. She needed to let go.

Being led out of the place she used to call home by her mother, she looked back reminiscing on all the good times she had. With a tiny smile on her face she rested her hand underneath her big bump and rolled her suitcase towards her mother's car. The car started with a loud roar and she once more looked back at the house. As the car sped off down the road, Victoria couldn't help but think one thing....

I will love you, forever and always.
