"Okay, are you ready Quinz?" Bernie said while parking close to the door of the asylum. I can't believe he drove me all over here, I can still remember the day we met. It was at a party, he's first question was if I had ever seen a dead body.
"Thank you Bernie, it means the world to me that you are here with me..." I said looking into his face.
"Harleen you have no idea how much you mean to me" Bernie said smiling and kissing my cheek.
I smiled up and him and began to leave. I love him, when his him not well...drunk. When he is drunk he is just a different person but nobody would actually understand.
I walked into the asylum with my head held up. Standing at the door was another woman, she had her brown hair held up into a bun.
"Harleen Quinzel?" The woman said staring at me with dark gloomy eyes.
"Yes, that's me and you are?" I said shaking her hand.
"I'm Joan Leland and it's a pleasure to meet you" She said smiling with the most fake looking smile I have ever seen.
"Thank you" I said with a smile, mine was real, I was extremely excited. All my life I have had an interest on criminal psychology and all my work was finally going to mean something.
"Follow me and do as I tell you okay? Okay." Josn snapped while I trailed behind. "Pass your card through here and put your thumb right there." She continued while I followed every move.
"Where are we going now?" I asked while walking next to her into a long corridor filled with people behind bar doors.
"Pretty blonde, finally we get a sexy one." One guy said while the rest of the guys winked. In a desperate and ashamed move I pulled my skirt down trying to hide most skin as I could.
Finally we got into the end of the hallway. Sitting behind a glass wall with bars I saw a green haired guy. He was the only one not treating me like a piece of candy.
"Harleen this is the Joker, one of your patients. You will see him everyday two hours from 5-7pm. Two guards will be near and you will have a button if anything happens guards will be running to help you. And please be careful, he has killed people and he can kill you" Jone said while walking away.
As soon as he left two guards came and dragged The Joker out of his cell motioning me to follow them. Soon we were in front of an office with my name in the door. I walked in. There was a table with two chairs in the middle, and a couch on the right wall, there also was a desk in the left corner with a chair and a computer.
The joker was sat on a chair and I decided to seat in front of The Joker.
"Here, click if anything happens" One guard said leaving me a button and them both of them walked out.
"Joker hello my name is-" I started before he cut me off in the first words.
"Harleen Quinn, I like that name you can rework it and you get Harley Quinn" The joker said smiling brightly.
"Like the clown huh? I've heard that." I said
"That's a name that puts a smile in my face. So you're friends call you Harley?" The Joker said while looking intensely into my eyes.
"I don't... I don't really have friends" I said with a sigh and then remembered that the patient was him not me.
"Well now you have me. Plus your name makes me feel like I can relate to you" The Joker said.
"Thank you" I said with a small smile creeping into my face.
Before we could continue there was a knock in the door and in came the two guards.
"Time to go" The guards said getting hold of The Joker.
"Goodbye Mr. J" I suddenly said caughting everyone off guard. But those words made The Joker smile a bigger grin.
"Goodbye Harley" He said and with that he was gone.
In came another girl with red hair and green eyes. I looked down at my papers and saw her report.
"Hello Pamela Lillian Isley or better known by the name Poison Ivy" I said looking at here as she sat in the chair where The Joker was at.
"Hello doctor Harleen, so you met The Joker already huh? I guess you are meeting all of your patients today!" She said with a grin.
"Hmm... Ivy? Can I call you Red? Would you mind? It's probably weird to you that a doctor is trying to call you Red but-" I started mumbling but was caught off my Ivy's laugh.
"Calm down Harleen, you can call me Red as long as I can call you Harley" Ivy said.
"This is going to be the begging of an amazing friendship." I said smiling.
-3 hours later-
"Goodbye Harleen see you tomorrow" Joan said waving goodbye.
I walked right out of the door. I thought Bernie was going to be there waiting for me. But he wasn't and I had no ride back. I sighed and began to walk into the nearest bus station. The walk was at least 30 minutes from here and when I get on the bus, it would take another hour to get home.
I kept walking looking down into the ground.
-About 2 hours later-
"Bernie where were you?!" I screamed while walking through the door where Bernie sat drinking all types of different beers and vodkas. Around him sat his 3 best friends.
