"It's dark underground." Blossom said to herself, not curing her boredom. There weren't many jobs that Team Lumière felt comfortable letting a seventeen year old do. Unfortunately for her, monitoring the security cameras was one. It was tedious. She knew she could just slack off and go on her phone but she didn't have many friends to talk to on there. She had acquaintances but becoming close to anybody who wasn't part of the organisation was too risky. She only knew people who were also part of the team but everybody else was older than her so she felt awkward and out of place.
She sighed and picked up the only book that was left on her desk, she'd read it a billion times but she had nothing better to do. It was a logbook of all the things the research team had discovered. Team Lumière was founded by a woman and studied and ancient book named The Anistar Chronicle. The book was predicted to be written over a hundred years ago. It spoke of a young woman who had run away from her home (a little bit like Blossom) to fight for what is wrong. The fabled legendary Pokémon, Chamenos appeared to her and helped her see 'the light', and she helped Pokémon grow and live happily. She came to regret her days of evil and hurt in the end.
Blossom wondered what it would be like to help, rather than hurt. But what was she really doing in the grand scheme of things? What Nova was planning to do was summon the legendary Chamenos, who had the ability to alter the minds of people. It sounded psychotic and destructive, but if everyone agreed with Team Lumière, there would be no war or hatred. Everyone would be united as one. At least that's what Nova said would happen.
Alabaster walked into the surveillance room, he was only twenty but already very skilled and high up in the organisation. He was attractive, with great blue hair and nice green eyes. He looked good in the black jeans, white dress shirt and black waistcoat that was the male variation of the Team Lumière uniform. The waistcoat had the logo on the top left, a triangle with a sun inside it. "Miss Blossom?" he got her attention.
"Yes, Master Alabaster?" She stood up.
"Listen, I know they tell us to use these dumb formal titles, but I wanna get to know you. Just call me Alabaster, 'kay, Blossom?" He walked up to her." She blushed lightly, curious to see where this was going. "You work hard and this job isn't exactly entertaining so I've decided to let somebody else take over for the rest of today. I'm going for a coffee and I was wondering if you'd wanna come?"
She couldn't believe how lucky she was, this was Alabaster. He was so gorgeous it almost hurt her eyes. It didn't though. He was quite pleasant to look at, really. "T-thank-you so much, it really means a lot! I would love to."
"Yeah, we'll obviously need to head to the changing rooms first, though." He laughed, "I'll meet you outside in five." He left the room. Blossom was confused, but not in a bad way.
The 'coffee shop' was the only café in the city - The Pokémon Café. Blossom loved this place. Pokémon were your waiters and waitresses here. Blossom had been passionate about Pokémon ever since she was a little girl. She used grass and ghost types these days, as that was a specification of Team Lumière.
Alabaster had changed into a grey sweater and a pair of dark blue denim pants. He still dressed quite formally even out of the uniform, but Blossom liked that, it showed he put effort into his appearance. She was in a camisole with frills on the neckline and a white skirt.
A Braixen came to the table where they were sat. It tilted its head as if to ask if they were ready to order. Blossom gushed, "Aren't you just the sweetest thing? I'd like one black coffee, please, and a slice of strawberry cake." she patted it on the head.
Alabaster grinned handsomely and said, "One latte and one slice of rocky road, please." The Braixen nodded it's head and walked away back into the kitchen.
"Don't you just love Pokémon? I have done since I was a kid." Alabaster chimed.
"Me too." Blossom agreed.
"What Pokémon do you have on your team, Blossom?"
"Well, my partner is my adorable Pumpkaboo, and I also have a Rotom and a Skiddo."
"That's quite a variety. I have a Phantump, a ghastly, a Ferroseed and a Drifblim."
"You're so cool." Blossom
said under her breath.
