Aaron's POVI click the on button to my phone, '6:24' am. "The sun should be up soon, guys" I yell over the loud music, blaring from the speakers on my right. Everyone continues in the circle, taking sips of the colorful concoctions sitting in their plastic cups.
Getting frustrated, I turn the music off, and repeat myself. "Nice dude, let's go get some breakfast" Greg exclaims. After this, he takes a hit of the joint they've been passing around the circle that has formed in the corner of the room. He takes a long drag, then exhales into my face.
I huff out agitatedly "No, I think I'm gonna head out. We have to head back to school in two days, and orientation is tomorrow." I don't really care about either of the things I just proclaimed. I just don't want to hang out with these people anymore. It's the same thing every night, we party, drink, and get high.
I mean at first it was fun, it was new, different. Yet, after sometime, it's almost routine. The same people, same girls to hook up with and the same drunk idiots hitting on them.
I want something different, a challenge almost. Just not anyone like the sleazy girls drunkly stumbling around the floor or making out with my 'friends'.
I hear someone calling my name. "Aaron.....Aaron.....AARON!"
"WHAT" I blink rapidly looking at the person who I used to call my best friend. He's staring at me with a confused expression, partly because I zoned out for five minutes and on the other hand he's higher than a kite right now.
"Sorry man, I was just thinking. What was that you said?"
He gives me a quizzical look, yet continues on anyway "I was just saying how normally you don't give a shit about any of that stuff. What makes it so important now?"
I scavenged through my brain for an answer but the alcohol and pot aren't helping. "I don't know, I just have work and shit to do okay?" I barked hoping he would drop it.
"Okay whatever man I'll see you then" he smirks as he casually lays an arm around the girl to his right. Rachel plops down next to me "Aweeee Aaron babe please don't go" she does her best at a pouting face while laying her hand casually on my thigh.
Wait....do you hear that.....oh yeah it's just me throwing up in my mouth. God she's gross. How did I ever sleep with her? I feel nothing towards her or her actions. She takes her other hand and brushes it through her long brown hair.
I look at her face, she's wearing a lot of makeup you can see it. In my mind, I take a cake and push it in her face. There your go love, makeup complete. She's wearing short jean shorts, but they don't look good because she only has a decent body. Then she pairs it with this ugly pink shirt showing her mid drift.
I stand abruptly causing her hand to land on the couch I was sitting on only moments ago. "Nope. Got to go." I say grabbing my phone and jacket and walking towards the door.
"Okay! Well I'll see you at school!!" Rachel yells after me. I mumble a whatever under my breath, making my way through the room and walking out on the street. The cool morning air slaps me in the face as I finally leave the house and begin walking against the sidewalk.
The sun slowly begins to make its way up as I slowly begin walking my journey home.
