Trevor gestures for Cadell to join him. Reluctantly Cadell follows his Father. In a place far from the earshot of the other two brothers, Trevor angrily faces Cadell. "What the hell were you thinking? I clearly stated that you should come alone! You have never stepped foot into the office or contributed to the business in any manner or form," he shoves Cadell "how do you expect to gain it? This was the most easiest way yet again you failed."
Trevor runs his hands down his face in frustration. Slightly calmer now, he places a hand on Cadell's shoulder "look son, life is a race and at your pace and state you're never going to win."
Cadell roughly removes his father's hand, "life is a journey Mr Ross and I'm not about to put the relationship I have with my brothers at stake for your sake. Not this time, not tomorrow, not in any future."
Meanwhile, in another secluded area Evander is having a similar conversation with his parents. Dimples insists, "I'm not telling you to put the relationship that you have with your brothers in jeopardy, but I am telling you, to not put your chances of becoming the sole heir in risk."
Seth intterupts, "Dimples why are you doing this? This family is near to pieces already, and you of all people should know that Van's priority is to keep this family under one roof together. Don't stop so low to become a hurdle in our son's life."
Dimples rolls her eyes considering her husband to be an emotional fool, "that may be his priority now, but it has been my dream since the day I carried him in my arms for him to become the sole heir of Ross enterprises, and not come second like you always have. I want the world to be at his feet rather than him at others feet," she jabbed at Seth.
Evander turned to his mother with hostility prevailing in his eyes, "I don't care for dreams and neither do I have time for them, I care for the bond with my brothers so I'm warning you for the first and last time, stay away from us."
Dimples attempts to explain, "Van dear try and understand-" but Evander had already walked away.

In the meantime, Cadell was still entangled in this unwanted conversation with his parents. Feeling exasperated Trevor questions his wife, "Jasmine you tell me, why doesn't our son understand? What will get through his thick head?"Jasmine lashes out, "What will get through your head Trevor? You're well aware his happiness lies elsewhere. He's a well accomplished artist. People from all over the world go to extreme lengths just to have one piece of his imagination. His creativity and compassion is his strength Trevor, similar to how money is your's. He's standing on his own feet Trevor, let him be."
Trevor exclaims, "Oh that's rich coming from a woman with stumbling feet." Menacingly he whispers in her ear, "did you find the truth bitter?" His voice grows louder mocking her, "oh but I thought you liked bitter things. Breakfast, lunch and dinner it's all a blur of alcohol for you. You're lucky I still tolerate you, because without me you would be nothing. Oh I forgot. Nothing but a fucking irresponsible drunk!"
"Mr Trevor Ross!" Cadell's voice booms in anger. He grasps his father's collar and spitefully grits out "How dare you speak to my mother like that?" Shock overtakes Trevor's face. "Apologise to her," Cadell demands. Trevor collects his wits and adamantly replies "no" and shrugs off his son's hands.
Cadell places a protective arm around his mother and grits out again, "apologise to her now or you won't be seeing me at the ceremony. Now wouldn't that put a stain on your reputation in the business world? I can already see tomorrow's newspaper headlines 'Son of Mr Trevor Ross refuses to attend the Ross Enterprise 50th anniversary ceremony. If he has no say in the house, what will he do in the business world?'
Cadell chuckles, "I admit the title is slightly long but I'm certain the dozens of journalists standing outside will come up with something better. Feel like apologising yet?"
Grudgingly Trevor spits out, "I'm sorry Jasmine."
Cadell turns to his mother and smiles. He kisses her forehead, "don't worry mum I will never let anything happen to you."
