I kept walking on the side of the road and watching every car that went pass every 10 minutes.
Of course hardly anyone would want to be here.
I kept walking and walking and got lost in my thoughts, what if Josh remembers me but just doesn't want to take me back home.
What If he actually doesn't remember me?
How could he not remember?
I can't do this, it's too much I need some explanation, my mind is going crazy.
I saw a car stop next to me and thought to myself "yep it's time I'm going to get kidnapped".
But then Josh's brother got out of the car and I was actually pretty happy to see him here, maybe he would know something about this. He never told me his name so I don't know it.

"What are you doing here all by yourself?" He walked up to me.

"Josh doesn't remember me" I started crying again. Just thinking about it made me cry.

"Didn't you know? Josh doesn't remember things or people" I just stared at him blankly.
"He forgets everything that happens with in a week unless you've been in his life for a really long time" I kept staring.
"The doctors say it'll get worse as he gets older and there's no cure for it. He won't even remember me, his father or his little sister then".
He finished talking and I just stood there staring at him with tears running down my face.
Why is this happening to me?
I thought I found happiness but I wasn't happy for so long that happiness forgot me.
I cried harder and Josh's brother helped me his car.

"I don't want to go with you"

"You have any other place?" He questioned

"No. I just, I wanna be alone" I managed to get out.

"Well that's not happening. You can be alone at my house not in middle of the road" he stopped but started again.
"This place is full of rapists and murderers and thieves, I'm not leaving you here on your own"

"Thank you" I cried on the back sit as he started the car.

We had been driving for 10 minutes now and none of us said a word I broke the silence by asking his name.

" oh sorry, I'm Evan"

"I'm Sadie" i introduced myself to not come off as rude.

"I know, Josh use to talk about you a lot at work" his name made me cry again but not as bad, just a few tears, I need to control myself.
I stayed silent during the whole ride.

"We're here" Evan parked the car in front of a white house and got out of the car so I followed him.
He opened the door and walked inside.
He walked upstairs and opened a door.

"Your room" he said I walked in. He knew I wanted to be left alone so he went out and closed the door.
there was a single bed next to a window on the corner of the room. I walked up to the bed and just crashed I cried as much as I could and just fell asleep.

A knock on the door woke me up sometime later.

"Come in" I said in a tired voice. Evan opened the door slowly and walked inside.

"Dinner is ready" I got up since I was really hungry.
Downstairs there was a teenage girl sitting on the table.

"I didn't know you had a daughter" I gave a look to Evan.

"Oh that's my sister Lydia"

"That's me" the girl sitting at the table called out raising her hand but not looking away from her phone.

Evan sat next to his sister at the table and I sat in front of them eating quietly as he had a conversation with his sister. I didn't want to talk and Evan knew that.

"If you're going to stay here, there's a rule you need to learn" Lydia started talking.
I looked up from my food and stared at her waiting for her to tell me that rule.

"No Lydia, leave her alone" Evan gave a look to his sister.

"so I was saying" she continued ignoring her brother.
"I get the showers first in the morning since there's only one bathroom"

"K" I answered back. I was dome with my food so I got up and put my plate in the dishwasher
and walked back upstairs to my room.
