"May I take your order?" Taehyung asks a customer in the Café where he worked in as a part timer on his free period. Even though he has entered the university with a scholarship, rent at the dorm is still very expensive. It's too much for his parents to cover up since his mother doesn't work and his father barely makes enough money to pay the utility bills. Taehyung doesn't mind. He knows things will be better for him once he becomes the best lawyer of his generation. He intends to help himself along with others.
The bell on top of the door of the café rings as a customer enters. His eyes immediately shift towards the figure who is wearing all black. He is wearing a beanie along with a mask, both black. It is odd for someone to wear such clothes in the middle of summer. "Maybe the customer is suffering from illness"is how Taehyung assures himself and brushes it off.
"Where would you like to sit, Sir?" he asks the customer. "A table for one please." The man replies in a rather cheerful voice for someone who is ill. "This way, Sir." Taehyung says as he guides the man to a corner table for two. Taehyung was about to leave when the customer calls him out saying, "I would like to order." Taehyung turns around and returns to the table to take the man's order. He surprisingly just orders a glass of cold mango juice along with a sandwich. He is now sure that the man isn't ill from a common cold or fever. His suspicion about the man is rising so he decides to observe the man.
It has been two hours now, yet the man is nowhere near finished with his first glass of mango juice along with the chicken sandwich which is untouched. Taehyung doesn't prefer to accuse people of things they haven't done but he can't help but feel something odd about the man.
Another hour has now passed and the meal on the man's table is still the same. "Excuse me, Sir, you have to leave if you're not going to order anything else." He informs the strange man. "Oh, I am waiting for someone. If they don't come in fifteen minutes I promise to take my leave." The man replies smiling. Taehyung could tell he was smiling even though he was wearing the mask as his eyes turned crescent shaped.
"Okay then but fifteen minutes only, sir." He leaves replying. Exactly ten minutes later a man arrives and sits at the man's table. He suddenly remembers the fact that the man had asked for a table for one. He brushes it off thinking that the man is about to leave anyways and it's none of his business, even though it is very odd for someone to wear a mask inside a café while eating. He rubs the table clean once they leave and decides to throw the trash away.
Unfortunately luck is not on Taehyung's side on this particular day with such a great weather. Through the back door and at the dumpster alley he meets the strange man and the man who had joined him earlier, standing with guns pointed at each other. The man has his gun pointed on his companion's forehead while the other man has his gun pointed on his chest. He immediately drops the bag in surprise which unfortunately does not go unnoticed by both of the men.
They immediately shoot their heads at Taehyung who was about to run out of the situation but one of the men was faster. He grabs Taehyung from the collar of his shirt and pulls him back. He takes something out of his pocket as he spins Taehyung around making his face hit the brick wall. He is flailing his arms to free himself but it's of no use, there is suddenly a cloth covering his nose. It is knocking all his sense out of him, making his eye lids and limbs heavy.
The next time his sense returns to him he is on a chair in a dark room, a rather large room with dim lighting. He flutters his eyes to focus his vision. It's difficult for him to breathe freely because of the stuffy scent of iron and something damp.
He scans his surrounding fluttering his eyes more. There are large barrels in the room and he seems to be in a corner of the room or an abandoned habitant which seems to be more accurate for describing the place. He realizes his wrists are handcuffed together on the back of the chair he is sitting on when he tries to wipe the sweat off his face.
His legs are chained up together which is locked up on a hook on the nearest wall. He immediately starts to panic as he realizes his situation. He starts to try to move his limbs but they aren't listening. He barely has any strength and they feel numb because that he has been tied up for quite a while.
"Oh you're awake?" he hears the man say nearing towards him. He tries to move his jaws but he can't. There is a cloth wrapped around his head and into his mouth. He gives out muffled words of "Let me go." But the stranger just laughs it off. "You look like someone who has never even heard of trouble but I guess there is a first time for everything." He continues.
"You see, sometimes, you're not meant to see things and when you do see them, there is one option, demolition of that memory. I am no expert and I don't know how to erase memory off of people's brains." He crouches on the floor in front of Taehyung. "It's such a waste of your pretty face." He says standing up again.
"I suggest you give in. I am kind but according to my coworkers, not so much. I'll be kind with you if you deserve it." He says removing the cloth out of Taehyung's mouth. Taehyung doesn't say anything. He shuts his mouth, clenches his teeth and sniffs his nose. "Well then, you are a good boy I guess. Now I need you to cooperate more with me. Give me your parent's number." The man asks taking out his phone. "I don't have it memorized." Taehyung replies.
Something changes about the other man when he hears Taehyung's reply. His eyes were now darker and colder. "I don't like repeating myself." He informs. "I don't ha-." Before Taehyung could finish his sentence a rough blow from the kidnapper lands on his jaw. "I said give me their number." He repeats grabbing Taehyung's chin with his fingers. Taehyung swallows and gives his father's number.
"Let me add, there is no point. They are broke. If you want money it's better to kill me and sell my organs. It's going to earn you more." Taehyung says with every drop of courage he could muster. "Well, where is the fun in that? I at least have to try." The man replies with a smirk that makes Taehyung's stomach scrunches in anxiety.
"They aren't picking up. Is it the correct number?" the man asks with cold eyes and a warning tone. "I am in no position to lie. He probably thinks it's a debtor." Taehyung replies. "Well then, looks like I will have to be patient with you. Give me your address." He orders Taehyung. He does as he is asked to do, in fear of not knowing what might happen if he doesn't.
He noticed the man had no mercy or hesitation in his hits. He had hit him like he meant it to hurt. "Stay put and play nice. I'll be back soon." The man informs switching off all the lights before leaving. Taehyung takes a deep breath and closes his eyes. There is a small window for ventilation of top of the wall.
He looks out the window through which moonlight shone illuminating the dark room. He sighs as his eyelids are getting heavy once again. He wonders if he will be able to leave alive or whether if he actually minds if he dies.
