A/N: This chapter was inspired by my mom, who always used to comfort me and sing to me at night, so most of the things happening between Sakura and Izumi here were portrayed moments between mother and me. (Except the part where they go all spy-y. (?)
"Don't try anything funny. Boss is watching you from cameras here." the henchmen warns, closing the door behind him to leave the mother and daughter alone in the rather lavish bedroom.
"Mommy, what's going to happen to us?" Izumi asked with slight tears in her eyes. Sakura looks towards the closed door and shakes her head. "You'll be fine, Izumi. Daddy's going to come find us, okay?"
"But that rude man from earlier said he was my dad." Izumi replied, "Is he really?"
"Of course not, he's just crazy." Sakura answered, before hearing the previously locked door open. "Calling your groom crazy is not the start to a very happy marriage, you know." the man from earlier came in with a cocky smirk and Sakura reflected the expression.
"I'm not calling Kioshi crazy, I was calling you crazy." she replied, rolling her eyes as she moved Izumi backwards. "Why do you want us so bad anyway? You have a ton of brides lined up for you, and have you ever heard of adoption?"
"But those children in adoption... They're weak..." he answered with thought and Sakura could give nothing more but a deadpanning look. "Izumi was adopted."
"But the difference was, she lived with you. She lived with an underground hacker who was connected to some of the most dangerous men in the world." he replied simply, looking around the room with great interest.
"It doesn't matter, besides, she's only a young girl, mafia men usually look for sons to take over. Why her?"
"I'm running out of time. Besides, I can probably train her to be stronger."
"Get lost. You disgust me." Sakura sighed, looking away. She then felt a hand grab her chin, making her look up to the man. "Ogiwara, Aki. Remember my name, Sumiko. You're going to be sharing my last name soon, just like her."
He gestured to Izumi, before letting go of her chin and leaving through the door, once more locking it behind him.
Sakura looks around, all the windows in their room were barred, closing them in with no means of escape other than the door that was locked from the outside. "Well, looks like we're going to trying to get out of here with the door. Think you can sneak around later, Izumi?"
Sakura whispers, knowing fully well that if there are cameras in here, there will be mics or something of a sort to hear conversation. Izumi nods and looks around as well, grabbing a book.
They pretend to read together as Sakura whispers. "I''ll pretend to use the bathroom and you can try to keep one person in here to distract." Izumi listens carefully, still flipping through the book. "Keep safe, okay? I'll be back soon. I just need to find something to get us out of here."
She got up and bit her lip before rattling on the door's handles. Of course, the moment she does that the door opens to reveal a man. "What the hell are you doing? I-"
"I need to use the bathroom." "There's one in your damn room, woman. Use it."
Sakura turns around and gestures secretly for Izumi to rush to the bathroom with a ssmall wave and a glance to the door.
"My daughter is using it, it's my time of the... erm..." "Fine, let's go. Do you need anything?"
"I should be fine, just lead the way. Cramps are killing me here." (A/N: I feel bad for anyone who gets those. I'm so lucky I don't get them, tbh XD)
