Chapter 9 The End

He held his hand tightly. Brushing their finger tips against their palms. Side by side, they stood together feeling the warmth in their heart.

A smile planted on their faces. With those blue eyes, along with the brown. Inseparable, they stood out different from the crowd.

"I'm cold," Vanoss said breaking the long comforting silence with a chuckle at the end. Delirious giving no response, he removed his blue jacket slowly and wrapped it around his lover.

Stuck with a smaller jacket, delirious moved closer to the red for more warmth. He inhaled the cold air and exhaled it. The time when its December.

Everything covered in white, more snow trickled down in the hair of the couple. Delirious' cheeks were puffed up with the strong dark color of red.

Vanoss of course would point it out with a giggle or so. It was late in the evening. Very late. Delirious lowered his hand down to his pocket feeling the curves and edges of the small box.

Excitement filled in his heart. He couldn't wait to ask that important question. After all they've been through, after all the things they sacrificed.

Delirious wanted his heart to melt already. But they're not there yet.
Christmas morning is in for a few minutes, the couple decided to celebrate the last minutes by taking a small walk to the lake and look up at the fireworks.

"So what do you want to do now?" Vanoss asked once again breaking the silence, delirious shrugged taking a look around.

Little ice crystals hanging from the thick branches. The large lake that once showed a bright blue liquid was now frozen, solid shining within the night.

"1 more minute and the fireworks will start!" Vanoss said excitedly, he jumped up and down slamming his palm into delirious' arm.

"Okay, okay love, I have a present for you so close your eyes," delirious said chuckling. He held both of Vanoss' hands carefully and kissed each and every finger.

"There, cover them little red," he whispered to then receive a nod, lifting his hands and covering those little brown eyes. Delirious smiled, slowly taking the box out. He opened it quick, as his eyes brightening.

He never felt so nervous in his life. Hoping that he'd say Yes. "10 seconds love count down and open your eyes," he saw Vanoss smile big showing his white teeth.

Delirious then lowered his body, placing once knee down and the other above. He felt the coldness hitting his legs but he didn't care. The only thing he cared for is Evan saying yes after all of this time.

He looked up at Evan with a goofy grin. Hearing his heart pounding and fluttering at the same time.

"One" they both said. Evan removed his hands quickly and gasped at what was staring down before him. "Oh god," he whimpered out, covering his mouth trying not to let out his uncontrollable sobs.

Delirious began as fireworks shot out of the sky. It brought out the bright lights then darkness. "You..are the love of my life, you helped me realized what love meant. You were the only person that gave a damn about me in the hardest times. Of course We had our ups and downs so many damn times throughout the years.
