Chapter 1- Intro

My name is Hayley Lockhart. A week ago, I was a normal 16 year old. Now, I live in a world where the fate of the world lies in my existence.

But I have to admit, I don't play the part. I mean, if you look at me, all you would see is a perfectly normal person that you would never notice in a crowd. Yep. I definitely look like the most important person in the universe.

Well, I think it's time I started my tale from the beginning, when I blew

up my chemistry teacher.

Chapter 2- The start

The school bell rung, signalling the end of class for others and the start of hell in chemistry class for me. Chemistry is my worst subject. In fact, it's everyone's worst subject, which is no surprise when you have Ms Hockwind as your chemistry teacher.

Ms Hockwind is this crazy, demented middle age hag with sharp, dark purple horned rimmed glasses which amazingly could balance on her long pointed nose ( how is she able to see when her nose probably obscures half of her vision, I don't know ) without falling off.

When I entered the lab, I was surprised to find a boy I never saw before sitting at my usual desk, which was furthest away from Ms Hockwind.

Unfortunately, sitting as far away from Ms Hockwind as possible is a necessary step of survival, so I plopped myself down next to him.

The new guy wore a gray hoodie and black jeans, with the hoodie on so I couldn't see his face or hair. His head was buried in his hand and did not respond to any of my movements.

I ignored him and waited for the rest of the class. A few minutes later, the classroom was jam-packed with people.

No one payed any attention to me or the newbie, which is no surprise. I liked to keep a low profile.

Click clack click clack. Everyone tensed, like a rabbit that sensed a predator.

People started scrambling to their places. Just as the last person sat down, Ms Hockwind entered.

Today, she wore a puke-green paisley blouse and a tight purple skirt, with blood red heels.

Her eyes bulged as she examined the class.

" Class today we will be making a chemical in pairs which applies everything we've talked about these two weeks. Get started."she snapped.

  Everyone started to buzz around.

I groaned. I sucked at these kind of things. Every single one of my chemicals either caught fire, melted anything it touched or exploded. Literally.

I got to work. As I worked, noticed Ms Hockwind staring at me. I ignored her. She was always picking on me, so I figured she was trying to spot me making a mistake or pressurize me until I exploded.

I glared at the newbie next to me. He hadn't move since I came. " Thanks so much for your assistance." I grumbled at him under my breath

"Class, I'm coming around to see the miserable little messes you've achieved on your work table. " she announced, eying me in triumph.

I jumped. She immediately walked to my table. I scrambled to heat up my vial as much as possible. When she arrived, I gulped and placed the vial in the holder.

She picked up the vial with her index finger and thumb, as if the vial could explode any second, which was actually very likely.

"Finally... now..." she grinned sinisterly. I dropped my gaze, expecting her to start screeching at me.

I waited...but that never came. Instead I heared a soft growl. Ggrrrrrrrrr.....

Before I could look up, she lunged at me. I yelped and scrambled back.

I looked up. Ms Hockwind.... didn't look like...  well.. herself.

Her hair had retreated back into her skull and her skin turned translucent and red. You could see the veins and arteries at her skull. Her clothes melted into her body.

She was all skin and bones - literally. I could see her ribcage  and hip bones and all. I felt like vomiting. Her hands and feet turned into sharp claws that I was pretty sure could cut through almost anything.

Her face... that part was the worst to look at.

Her eyes grew smaller and her pupils vanished. Her nose got flatter and flatter until they were just two slits, like Lord Voldemort's.

Her mouth, which was smiling evily, grew fangs. " Now time to end thissss...  ONCE AND FOR ALL. " she roared.

I screamed and ducked as she swiped her claws at me. Everyone else didn't move at all. What was wrong with them?

I grabbed my chair and shoved it in the now demonic Ms Hockwind's face. " Ms Hockwind! Chill! Please! I'm sorry my chemical exploded and set the lab on fire last week! " I cried in desperation.

She growled menacingly. As she pounced, I ducked under the table. Her claws, however, scraped my skin. I immediately felt a wave of nausea and dizziness, but willed myself to stay conscious.

I could hear soft, almost silent steps as she crawled on the table, trying to surprise me.

I used all my remaining strength, in one big heave, to flip the table. The newbie jolted awake as the table flipped over and crushed Ms Hockwind.

There was a ear-piercing KABOOM. I staggered up and stared through the smoke at the pile of what remained of Ms Hockwind. My shattered vile layed beside the ashes.

The next thing I knew, I collapsed and blacked out.

Hey!  Umm... I guess I'll call myself Orion since it's my account name? I don't know.

But anyway , this my first time writing and I'm kind of new to wattpad so I'm not sure how other writers usually write so pardon me if there are errors or any problems. Sorry that it's so short.

It would also be greatly appreciated if you could comment down below on any problems or ideas! I know author's notes tend to be really boring so I assure you there will not be as much of these in the future.

Thank you so much for reading and I hope you've enjoyed! :)

  Stay tuned!
