Mortals Meet Demigods

Chapter 1

~☆~One day before the first day of school after the Second Giant War~☆~

PERCY'S POV
I was watching Finding Nemo when it was interrupted by breaking news."What the Hades!"

The Olympians,plus Hades and Hestia of course,were standing on a stage in front of the Empire State Building.As soon as I said that,Hades shouted to nobody in particular on the TV,"Oh come on Perseus.You and the other demigods have to stop using my name as a curse word!"Poseidon,Hera and Demeter gave him a look that asked are you crazy.Zeus ignored him and being the drama queen he is,he announced dramatically,"We are the Olympian Gods!"

The first thought that came to my mind:
Why wasn't Zeus named the god of drama.

The second thought was:
Why is my life so complicated.

Shouts of protest were heard.The Big Three looked at each other,having a silent conversation with their eyes.Suddenly,lightning striked,the earth shook and skeletons came out of cracks that suddenly formed in the ground.Everyone immediately kept quiet,wanting to live.Then,the gods introduced themselves and explained the whole Greek Gods are not myths and are actually real not including the Second Titan War And Second Giant War.Apollo then recited one of his "awesome" haikus...

The mist is now gone
Hecate injured by Gaia
Mortals can see us.
(Sorry.This is the first haiku i've ever written.)

Why does my life have to be all about great prophecies,defeating evil relatives and saving olympus.Why isn't it about Annabeth,blue food and the sea.

~☆~Time lapse to the first day of school~☆~

"I made blue pancakes,Percy!"I immediately woke up and got ready for school.I ran to the kitchen and said hi to Paul,a.k.a. my English teacher before devouring my blue pancakes that were swimming in maple syrup.The usual stuff.

Paul and I got in the car as he drove to Goode High School.Great,another year of school.

~☆~Time lapse to English class~☆~

I zoned out while Paul was talking.I was about to have a nap but was interuppted by Mr. Curt,the principal.He announced over the PA system,"All students and staff members please assemble in the hall right now.Thank you"

I had a bad feeling about this.No matter how much seaweed there was in my brain,my instincts were as accurate as Annabeth's brain when it came to sensing dangerous situations.

I walked in and muttered,"Oh gods."
