So first, I know you might be wondering why the prologue is after the one shot chap :)) Well that's because I decided (with the encouragement of Dreaming_love!) to make this chapter of what happened before the first one. So yeah, like a prologue... xD  I dunno yet whether to just end with this or continue writing it. I think it would ruin the affect of writing the prologue after the main storyline if I continue it though... it would also be confusing ;P

Oh! And I hope you guys enjoy this Christmas present! :> Merry Christmas everyone! And happy new year too ;)

It was a love story like any other about two soulmates, destined to be together. It was not an unusually romantic or special once-in-a-lifetime type of story either. But it was sweet enough to make you feel giddy inside. What made it different from other love stories was that the boy and the girl were such opposites.

The boy grew up with a happy family. The girl grew up with a disfunctional one.

The boy always smiled. The girl rarely did.

The boy was impatient. The girl was used to waiting.

The boy was confident. The girl was always humble.

The boy spoke his mind. The girl would keep her feelings inside.

Together, they had the perfect balance of everything. They were a true example of yin and yang.

They grew up living right next to each other, but rarely talked. Aside from the usual morning greetings as they got out of the house to go to school, they have not said more that 10 words to each other until college. The real love story began in college.

She was invited to a party by her roommate. He invited her roommate to go as his date to that party.

When the roommate introduced them to each other and they met eyes, it was like a bomb went off. Everything around them froze and all they could see was each other. Time seemed to go on forever. Like for most soulmates, there was an instant spark.

She knew he looked familar. He thought she was the most beautiful girl he had ever laid eyes on.

But they went their seperate ways. She walked over to the table of refreshments and sat there trying to shake off the imagine of her roommate's date that kept entering her mind, with a glass of ginger ale. He was pulled away by his economics buddies to try a few shots, but was still in a daze over what had just happened. They spent the night doing different things with different people in different rooms.

That changed at exactly 12:15 when a drunk senior made his way over to the girl who was then sitting alone and did his best to sweet-talk her. But she was smart. She knew what he was trying to do so she tried to walk away. But the drunk did not let her. He grabbed her wrist and pulled her into an empty closet. Her screams and cries for help filled the other room as he forced himself on her, crashing his mouth on hers.

Soon, the boy heard those screams and rushed to find the source. He yanked open the closet door to find the horrible scene. Anger surged through him as he grabbed the senior by the collar and slammed him into the wall. He could smell the alcohol on him as he bent down to throw a few more punches and heard the screams of girls and encouraging shouts for a fight from the boys of the crowd. Finally, someone pulled him away from the senior before any real damage could be done and he suddenly realized that the girl was off in a corner next to his date. He made his way over to ensure that she was okay.

His eyes were filled with worry and sincerity as he spoke to her and she could not help but feel a warmth building in her stomach. Trying not to seem so distracted by his eyes, she kept her head facing her roommate, telling them that she was fine. As her roommate comforted her, she could feel his eyes staring deeping into her and tried her best to stop the blood from rushing to her face. It was an unsuccessful attempt so she decided to go away from him instead because they would notice the way her face would turn red every time he asked about how she was doing. Her roommate was hestitant to allow her to go back to the dorms by herself so offered to drop her off. But the boy interrupted and offered walk her back. Her roommate agreed and even if a part of her was yelling at her to say no, she accepted and they went on their way. The walk started in silence and remained that way until the boy finally started the conversation.

"Have I seen you before?" He asked as he kicked a pebble aside on the gravel road.

Taken aback by the sudden question, she took a while to answer," Yes, I think so. I lived on 25th Firefly Road in Crystal Falls...?"

"Really? I lived on 24th Firefly Road!" He exclaimed in wonder and she giggled at his reaction. He started laughing at his too and apologized for not remembering her. She gave him a bright smile that sent his heart racing," I was wondering when you would figure it out."

Their walking pace slowed as their conversation sped up. They spent the whole walk back talking about their lives and sharing stories that they would not have even told their closest friends.

He admired the way her eyes twinkled as she talked about the people and things she loved. She studied his reaction to all the things she said and the way he would run his fingers through his hair as he smiled.

When they got to the door of the girls dorms, he sighed, not wanting to seperate from her just yet. She looked at the floor, trying to gather the strength to ask him if he would still like to talk a bit. As if reading her mind, he cleared his throat before asking her," If you aren't tired yet... Would you like to walk around with me?"

That night, they talked until the sun rose over the horizon casting an orange light over anything and everything in its path. They laughed until they were both out of breath and their cheeks hurt from smiling. They stayed beside each other on the cold grass in the lawn until all the hungover students returned to their dorms. They reluctantly said goodbye to each other when all the not-hungover students started to head out to their classes. They left each other with a big grin on their faces and longing to meet again.

That night was the start of a five year-long courtship and three year-long marriage. The start of a journey together filled with happiness, sadness, pain, joy, regret, and love. The start of fate's unknowing plan unraveling.

Guess what?, this isn't the last one! ;) I decided to write one more chap after this because I was initially supposed to write this story and fast forward to their future (not after the first chap) together but sadly, this one is too long xD I think it would be dragging if I wrote more for this chapter so I'm just gonna split it! :>

So yeah, one more chap! :D Hope ya liked it and if you did, please remember to vote, comment, fan and etc! ^_^

THANKSCHU!
