She used to be sweet innocent girl that lived down the street from me. The girl that I first met when she was running from her drunk father.
Now here we are in 2016 Lizzie is standing here in front of me with a gun to my head.
"I will always protect you no matter what." I say closing my eyes taking a breathe and waiting on her to fire.
There's nothing I open my eyes and she looked at me in fear. Her eyes had a hint of remembering what I said to her.
"Lizzie" I whisper.
Her face hardens "who the fuck is Lizzie?"
Then a gun fires and blows her back from me. I look at her and I see pain in her eyes. Then a grenade goes off and when the smoke clears she's gone.
