He stands there smiling at me with that smile. " What do you want?" I ask afraid of what he'll say. " See you tonight ." He says and vanishes into the forest. I run in the opposite direction he was trying to find my way out of the maze of trees. I finally run out into a clearing which has a playground. I feel scared. What did he mean by 'see you tonight'? I decide to go to Eva's instead of home.
I knock on the door and wait for it to be anwsered. The door swings open and i am attacked to the ground. " What the- Get off me!" I scream. " Oh my god! Im so glad your safe!" Eva yells. " Uh, why wouldnt I be?" I ask not getting why she is so happy. " I thought you were kidnapped!" " Why? All I did was go for a walk." " Wait. Where did you go for a walk at?" She looks concerned. " Um Harelman Park woods. Why?" Her mouth hangs open. " Come inside and I'll tell you." I walk into her house and sit on her couch. She sits in her chair and looks at me. " Do you know who live in those woods?" She asks. " No." She sits up in her seat. " Jeff." I look at her with a puzzeled face. " Who's Jeff?" " Jeff the killer. He has jet black hair, a pale face, he wears a white hoodie and it has blood on it." My mind goes back to the guy I saw. " Does he have a smile carved into his face?" I ask. " Yes. Did you see him?" I want to lie but decide to tell the truth.
We sit in the living room in silence. " We have to prepare for it." Eva says and runs into the other room. " Prepare for what?" I ask walking into the kitchen. " For Jeff." She said simpily. I think back to him. I remember his pale skin, his dark eyes circled by blackness, and his hair that perfectly framed his face. He wasnt ugly. No. In fact he was beautiful. " KAILEY! Hello?! Are you in there?!" Eva screams in my face waving a hand in front of it. I snap back into reality. " What was that?" She asks refering to what I just did. " Yeah. Im fine." I say. " How are we supposed to prepare? I mean like what do we grab?" " I dont know. Like knives and stuff like that." She said throwing a knife at me. It flys past me and skids across the floor. " Are you trying to kill me?!?" I yell jumping out of the way. " No but Jeff will if we dont be ready soon. Its almost dark." I walk over to the knife and pick it up off the floor. As im holding it memoriews flood back and I drop it on the floor. " What is up with you today?" Eva asks looking away from the knife she was holding. " I dont know." " Well lets get upstairs. You can take the guest bedroom.
I lay there awake in the darkness of the room too scared to sleep. I start to drift off to a light sleep but get woken up by a tapping sound. I sit straight up in my bed and look around. I walk over to the lamp and turn it on. There on the window sill is Jeff holdig a knife." Hello." He says in his deep voice. I walk over to my bed and take out my knife from under my pillow. " Oh please. Just save it." He says laughing. I was too scared to move. " I just want you to..." He laughs and looks back from the knife to me."Go To Sleep." He says getting up off the window and walking closer to me. I freeze and drop the knife to the floor. "Scared?" He asks smiling wider than he already is. "No. Im not scared of you." I say feeling a little more confident. " I could kill you any moment." I say reaching down and picking the knife up off the floor. He seems suprised that I was threatening him. I take the knife up to his neck. " I'll do it." Instead I trace the knife to his shoulder and stab him. " Oh you just wait. I have a suprise for you." He said blood seeping through his sweatshirt. He opened the window and jumped out. I felt different after i stabbed him. Like I became a darker person. My eyes darkened to a deep blue. I felt like I was becoming insane. Maybe I was.
