The Long Game

*3 years later* 

narrators pov:

maya is 18 and josh is 21 last you saw they made a deal to play the long game and now it looks like its coming to the end .

maya and josh shared a relationship were they are best friends that like each other scratch that love each other but neither of them realize it until the time comes upon Rileys 18th birthday celebration.

mayas pov:

today is mayas 18th birthday dinner celebration we were in her room getting ready.

' hey riles?'

' yes maya'

'whos gonna be here?'

' are asking if my uncle josh is coming?' riley says smirking 

' maybe' i say turning my head blushing 

' you know hes the only word or person that makes you blush maya, and before he came into your life you never blushed; ah i remember  when you first blushed.'

*flashback*

it was family game night even though maya lucus and farkle are here. all of a sudden the door opens and its my uncle josh.

' UNCLE JOSH!!!!!' i say running up and tackling him in a hug (btw this is a different time its a flashback to before josh and maya confessed their feelings but its not the episode where they play the long game)

' wow riley you got big, you look amazing.'

' thanks'

' hey riles whos here?'

' maya this is my uncle josh.'

mayas mouth was wide open looking at uncle josh and uncle josh was so stunned at how beautiful maya grew to be hey couldnt talk.

' m-maya uu-h i-i uhm wow yo-you lo-ook beautiful.'

't-thanks' maya replies blushing 

' OH MY GOSH MAYA YOUR BLUSHING!!!!'

'NO IM NOT.' she shouts back at me

' MAYAS BLUSHING AYAS BLUSHING AHHHHH' i shout while skipping around the house 

'riley shushhhhhhhh' maya complains 

while all this is happening uncle josh is just standing by te door looking at the ground sheepishly

*back to reality*

' yes he will be here'

i just smile wondering what wil happen to us. me and josh still like eachother and i mean im 18 now so maybe the long game is gonna be end and we in the end win i hope.

*2 hours later at the dinner party celebration*

currently we are at the roof top to see some fireworks that are happening in the distance and im standing with my arms on the ledge just looking off in the distance then appears josh standing next to me 

' its beautiful.' i say to josh but looking off at the fireworks 

' yah its definitely beautiful.' i turn my head and see josh starring at me 

i turn my head so my hair covers my face so he couldnt see me blush.

i feel a hand brush my hair out of my face. josh. 

' still like me?' i question hoping he says yes
'Yup you?' 

'yup'

i look around and i notice that everyone has left and i see riley poke her head out of the door and wink at me and i wink back. shes most likely gonna spy on us.

' so we have been in this long game for a while.' i say 

' yah we have.'he says smiling i guess remembering the memories 

'is that going to be ending any time soon?" i say with hoping eyes 

' right now'

all of a sudden i feel his left hand cup my left cheek and we both slowly lean in and i feel a pair of soft lips touch mine then i feel water drop onto my head and it starts raining

' ah i love the rain' i say

' well you gonna like this more'

then again i feel josh soft pink plump lips connect with mine. 

a kiss in the rain.

 you know when they say that when you really love someone you feel butterflies in your stomach right now or fire works this is much stronger i feel explosions and bombs and lighting and thunder while my stomach and heart are doing back flips.

we both pull out after about a couple of seconds 

it was such a strong passionate kiss that i couldnt contain my smile or how fast my heart was beating

i take joshs hand and place it by where my heart is so he can feel how fast its beating.

' i love you josh; your the one; the one i always want to be with; you make me the most happiest girl in the world and i cant wait any longer.'

' i cant either; maya will you do me the honor of being my girlfriend?' he says while pulling out a single rose on one knee holding my hand

' yes yes YES a million times.'

josh gets up and picks me up by the waist and spins me around in the rain and then hugs me 

gosh i love his hugs because im shorter than him and my head fits right under his chin and i can hear his heart beat racing and its all because of me
