Maya pov :

' wait josh what will your family and mine think of us together?'

' lets not worry about that right now we will tell them once we get down there and if they cant accept it who cares as long as we have eachother.' 

' ok buttttt can i tell riley first?'

' of course  but lets tell the rest of them together'

'ok lets go.'

*when they get back down stairs*

me and josh go downstairs not holding hands or any thing but just enter

' hey where did you guys go?' asked mr.matthews 

' ohw we were just talking and we didnt notice you guys left.' josh said

i look at riley and we both nod our heads and walk arm in arm to the bay window to tell her what just happened

'WHAT JUST HAPPENED BACK THERE I NEED EVERY SINGLE DETAIL' says riley well shouts right in my ear

' well....... ME AND JOSH ARE DATING!!!!!'

'finally ive been waiting for ages after 3 years.'

' yah but lets go we are going to go tell the rest of the family.'

*back with the whole family*

' we have an announcment to make.' i say grabbing joshs hand

' i asked maya out.' josh says 

everyone jumped up and shouted besides one person 

my dad. shawn 

' dad?'

' maya sweetie are you sure about this.?' asks shawn 

' shawn...' mr. matthews says while putting his hand and his shoulder

' dad you dont approve?'

' im sorry maya but i dont think its a good idea, i dont want you to date him.'

' no.'

' no. did you just say no to me.'

' yes shawn i did because nothing is going to tear us apart nothing and nobody ever i love him.' i say looking at shawn and then josh with glossy eyes 

' fine then i forbid you to see him.'

' no such thing those are just words.'

' maya break up with him or else.

' or else what, your gonna leave me like my other father did?'

' maya i-i didnt mean it that way.

' well shawn i dont care what you say because as long as im happy you should be too, and josh hes home when he leaves its like missing a part of me in his arms im safe when we look in each others eyes thats all that matters.'

then next thing you know it tears are streaming down my face and josh pulls me in for a hug and i buried  my face in his chest 

'its ok baby its all be ok, lets go to sleep, wanna sleep in my room or rileys?'

'riley i just need some girl time ok?'

'its ok i love you good night' josh says then kisses my forhead

' good night love.' i say back to him

' good night everyone.' me and riles say in sync

once we get back into the room i fall asleep instantly since i was so tired from cry but one last thought lingered in my head

' will it always be like this?'
