I hop down the steps to the sidewalk. Dan looks around. "Have you never seen the outside before?" I ask.

He nods his head.

I see a boy with curly hair running towards me. I throw my hand up and wave at him. He finally catches up.

"Phil," he huffs. "I have just run. A mile."

I laugh. "PJ, you do know I could've waited. School starts at 7:02 and its," I check my watch. "6:45."

PJ nods.

I try to speak, but I'm interrupted by someone.

"Chris, what's up!" Dan says, grinning widely. I glance up at him. He high fives the air, as if someone's there.

And then I remember that I can't see any angels but Dan. Out of the corner of my eye I see PJ staring.

"So PJ," I say. He jerks his gaze back at me and we start walking towards the high school. "How was your summer?"

He shrugs. "It was alright. I filmed a couple animations."

"Ah, neat," I say.

"How about you?" PJ asks.

"Oh, not much." I answer. "I went to a theme park, but that's the only real exciting thing."

"Cool!" Says PJ.

We keep talking about silly things when PJ pulls out his phone from his back pocket. He loads up Pokémon GO and shows me his top Pokemon.

It's a Dragonite with 2978 CP. PJ grins. I let out a huff and show him mine, which is a 2200 CP Snorlax. He giggles.

"I have a 10k egg incubating!" I say, trying to defend myself.

"So?" PJ laughs. "I could still beat you in a gym battle."

"Hmpf." I cross my arms.

As the school comes into sight, PJ and I's conversation fades out. So I decide to eavesdrop on Dans conversation.
