Author's Note: Soooo.... I wrote this, probably, a month ago and it sounded like a cool idea to me. I've wanted to upload this forever but I don't have a plot figured out yet, just some character descriptions and some supernatural stuff. I most likely won't try to figure it out until my other story, Uppercut, is finished. Uppercut is kinda my main Wattpad priority at the moment, so this story is coming soon/eventually!!! I don't know when. But until I figure out what's happening, enjoy this cuz I like it! And I like the cover... :D lol. Let me know what you think!!
Chapter 1
I sat up at the speed of light. My breathing was heavy and my heart was beating out of my chest. My eyes frantically wandered around my dark bedroom as my hand searched for the lamp sitting on the nightstand next to my bed. My hand came in contact with the lampshade and I felt for the switch. I found it and turned it on. I winced at the sudden amount of light, but recovered quickly. I placed my head in my hands and tried to slow down my breaths.
Why did this keep occurring? Why was I constantly waking up in the middle of the night in a panic?
I pushed my long hair out of my face and looked at my alarm clock. It was 4:21 am.
As my heart pounded, I began to think and try to clear up the sudden confusion I felt. What had just happened? I tried to recall the details as I sat in my bed. It seemed silly of me to be acting this way, I was 17 after all. I shouldn't been having nightmares anymore.
I leaned against the headboard of my bed and stared at the white ceiling. I furrowed my eyebrows and became deep in thought. My eyes widened as the dream came back to me.
It was just a nice day. I was sitting on top of a picnic table in the park. I liked it here. Sage and I came here all the time.
I looked around. There was not a person in sight. That was kind of odd. The park was usually so crowded, filled with families, kids, and even their dogs.
I looked up at the sky and stared at the clouds. The emptiness of the park didn't bother me as much as I should. Something kept telling me that I should leave, that something wasn't right. I ignored it. It was just too beautiful outside today. The sun felt nice on my skin. I closed my eyes, placing my hands on the table I was sitting on, leaning back a little,
There was a breeze and it ruffled my hair. But then it got stronger. I opened my eyes in frustration. Then I saw that the sky was no longer bright and sunny. It had transformed to a dark grey and was filled with giant masses of clouds.
I jumped off the picnic table and looked around. Something felt off. Where had this weather come from?
I took a step forward and heard a startling noise behind me. I jumped a little.
I looked back to see a crow on the picnic table. It was cawing loudly. I decided to ignore it and continued taking a few more cautious steps forward.
The crow cawed again, more loudly this time. I turned back around with the intention to shoo it away. When I was facing the table again, I froze. My breath hitched in my throat.
The crow was still on the table, but that's not what startled me. There was someone standing there, right next to the table.
His blonde hair was messily styled and he had the start of a scruffily beard forming on his face. He wore a pair of worn out jeans and a black T shirt. He stood very close to the picnic table. His arm was extended and he was touching the crow, stroking it. I couldn't see his eyes, he was staring down at the crow intently.
