Mrs. Yates opens the door and I examine it and realize that the door looks like it was one of the first doors in the school with a window that takes up almost half of the top part of the door and the round, gold doorknob. The curtain was green with pencils and notebooks printed on it and the sides were tied back on either side of the window. When I walk in I notice the other older woman sitting at her desk on the left wall beside the windows with another large desk on the right side of her own. In the back of the room there is a large-ish table with a few stacks of papers on it but enough room for two people and a bit of elbow room. On the right wall there are four sets of two desk-chair hybrids in perfect rows. Most of the desks were already taken and since I don't want to sit near the preppy bitches and I am socially awkward I sit in the back with the long haired girl.

When I look at her closer I realize that she was in Potosi last year in sixth grade. I remember during recess when Brandon and Steven weren't walking at my side, she would sometimes have her clarinet and her dad's poker set. We would sit around the corner of the building in the grass with a few other girls and just talk. It wasn't really anything memorable but I guess it was okay. I don't really talk to her or ask if she remembers me on account that I am very shy and hate making friends by myself. I just sit and somewhat zone out remembering about my watch and try not to look at it. I come back down to Earth when I hear everyone shuffling around their bags and a small purple booklet thing is handed to me. The front says J.E.M.S. with a Trojan head on it and purple and yellow decorations. I see the girls pull out pens and markers and start writing on their books signing names, making little hearts everywhere and just being, well, girls. God I'm glad I'm not like that. I ruffle through my own bag and pull out a sharpie marker that I don't even know where I got it, it just sorta showed up one day. I write my name on the front of my own booklet and immediately hate how I wrote it. It just looks like a large scribble and the only letters I can make out are the G, N, M, and Y. At least no one can say it's theirs. "All right guys lets see." Mrs. Yates says opening her handbook. "Turn to page ten and we will go over the dress code and lunch and everything of that matter." I open my book and turn to page ten. My wrist starts to vibrate again and I quickly turn it off again before thinking about what is happening in The Giant Spider Dimension.

I raise my hand before Mrs. Yates starts talking and hate to ask this before we get started but if it means finding out what is going on then I can deal with it. "May I use the bathroom?" I ask politely. "Can it wait until we are done?" she says flipping pages. She doesn't give me time to respond and starts reading aloud and talking about what we can and can't wear. I look down at my watch right beside my booklet so it looks as if I am reading along and paying attention and try to read the small print. "We need to talk to you about something now. I can't explain it over your watch thing just come here now."- Zinnia. But what is so important that she can't wait? If she didn't know I am at school not to mention it is my birthday. Why does she always contact me in the worst of times? Not to mention I can't get out of class right now so what the heck? I wonder if I can sneak out, maybe use an invisibility spell and just walk out. But then they would know I am gone. I wonder what else Zinnia decided to send me. I continue to read the messages."Hey you need to talk to Zinnia right now it is very important and it involves the world. Don't ask how we know it does it just does."- Madi. What the hell could it be?? Oh my god I need to call her but this stupid teacher won't let me leave! What the hell could involve the entire world? And how could the guys in GSD know about it? Fudge I need to get out now before I lose it. I am about to go crazy and I need to know what is going on. "So who has any questions about anything we just went over?" I hear Mrs. Yates ask. I look around and realize that a few minutes has passed and they have finished going over and talking about all of the rules and standards. I decide not to ask about lunch and wait until the time comes. "Um, you said you needed to use the restroom? What's your name again?" Mrs. Yates asks. I pull myself further back to Earth and answer. "Uh yeah. Gwen." She lets me leave and tells me to bring my things because they might call us to go to our first hour for the remaining time for it.
