The next morning Alexis awoke to the sun shining softly through the pale beige curtains and the heavenly smell of coffee and bacon wafting up the stairs. She stretched with a small yawn as she drew the covers off of herself. Her bones cracked as she stood up and went over to the window. She pushed the curtains open and cast her gaze upon the bright and colorful country side.

It was much different than the view she was used to; cars speeding past, people walking, running, fighting, and tall towers that reached far into the sky; almost as if they wanted to touch the clouds, to feel the puffy softness everyone dreamed they would be. But this view, this view was different; rolling green grassy hills, fields of corn and wheat, barns, stables, and animals that happen to wander about in fenced areas.

Peaceful was the only word that seemed to come to mind when looking out at the ever beautiful world. She couldn't help the smile that set upon her face, or the look of tranquility that showed deeply in her mossy green eyes, which she swore looked more brown the green.

She almost couldn't tear her gaze from him, but she shook her head and continued into the kitchen as if nothing had happened. "Morning Cayden."

"Mornin' Alexis." He drawled in his slight southern accent; his baby blue eyes briefly looking at her. "How'd ya sleep?" He asked; his back still to her.

"Really well actually; it's very peaceful here."

"Unlike the gun shots, engine revving, honking, and fighting?"

She nodded, though he didn't see. "It's a very nice change."

"Now you see why I moved out here?"

Another unseen nod. "Yeah, I do."

He finally turned around, showing off his six pack and his v line which dipped into the shorts he was wearing; which hung loosely off of his thin waist. He was gorgeous; being the only word that came to mind. Well, that or hot; because he was smokin' hot.

He sat a plate down in front of her; containing eggs, bacon, and toast. He also sat down a mug of heavenly smelling coffee.

"Thanks." She sent him a kind smile.

"You're welcome." He drawled, his southern accent maybe a little more prominent than before.

As she dug in to her food, she gazed across the table at him. "So what do you normally do around here?"

"Well, I do a lot of reading when I'm not working on the farm; but there's a tv and some video games and such."

She couldn't help but smile at that; she loved video games. "Sweet."

"But; today it's supposed to storm, so we better stay inside, farming and stuff can wait till tomorrow."
