Hanging with the wrong crowd

Chapter 6

   When we walked into the play pin thingy I saw a room full of kids. There was no way in hell I would find her before 8:00pm. "Nick what are we going to do?"

 He looked at me and scratched the back of his head. "You mean what are you going to do, I have to go help my mom move the rest of the boxes in." He didn't even give me a chance to reply, he walked off. 

  Well at least now I know babysitting isn't my thing. I sat down on the bench that was next to me and buried my face into my hands.

  "I thought you left." I heard a voice say. I looked up and found Darius and Amber standing above me."Amber, thank god." I ran up to her and hugged her tight. "Can't breathe." She said while hitting me on my back.

"Oh sorry about that, where were you?" I interlock her hands with minds. "I was with Darius, he bought me this." She said while smiling and holding up the brown teddy bear.

 "I'm sorry." Darius said. "It's actually my fault, I should have kept my eye on her." I don't know why but when I talk to him I get kinda nervous.

"We should get going..." I said while heading towards the exit. "Wait.." Darius said from behind me. I turned around looking confused as ever.

"Here, call me sometime." He handed me a yellow piece of paper and walked off. Why are people walking off on me today? Do I smell bad or something? I put the piece of paper in my pocket and walked out of the store.

 When I pulled up into the driveway I saw my dad and Kim along with Amber's parents standing outside. 

 "Were have you been?" Dad asked while closing the door behind me. " I went to Walmart to get bacon." 

 "Zoe, come on don't lie to me." Dad said. Why would I lie about going to Wal-mart for bacon? "Dad I'm not lying, go ask Amber for yourself." I said while heading upstairs.

 I just wanted to go lie down, I had a rough day today.  While I was making my way up to my room, I pulled out my phone and dialed the number Darius had given me earlier.

This chapter was kinda bad, because I just wanted to update because I haven't in a while. i've been busy with school work, i have had projects after projects! :( anyays the next chapter will be longer than this and i'm going to do Nick's point of view soon! I also have two new books im working on! one is called plain and simple and the other is called be a lady! i haven't typed one word yet but make sure you read it when i do you'll love it :)
