"This is so boring," Kasai complained.
The Sureiyazu (plus their various friends) were in the small library of their castle, trying - as well as they could - to research stronger demons. It was a relatively small space, compared to the rest of the castle, but it was all they had in terms of information. The nearest library that was open to the public was in Hana Firudo, and that was a far travel.
"If we don't research these things," said Akuma, "we're going to die, Kasai. It's reading or dying."
"Eh, I'll take dying," Kasai shrugged. "Just as long as it doesn't hurt too much."
Aya rolled her eyes. "Just read the book."
"Fine," said Kasai. She picked up a leather-bound book and began to read again.
Akuma dove back into the book she was reading about the different worlds. No matter how much information she managed to get out of it, there seemed to be an infinite number of pages that had nothing to offer whatsoever.
Traveling Between Worlds
It is possible to start in one world and cross over into another - though extremely difficult. This would require massive amounts of spiritual energy to actually attempt, and even more to succeed. If one were to try and fail, he would run the risk of having his soul split in two, and in an irreversible situation worse than death.
That being said, there is still the possibility of travelling between the overlapping worlds Jufuku, Sekai, and Yurei with enough focused energy. (I will have more detailed instructions included later.)
Yet, there are still many risks to take even if one is successful when "hopping" from one world to the other. Staying in a world that is not one's own for even a second will change the soul. Since I am mostly speaking of humans in this book, I will give an example. If a human were to go into Yurei, their soul would first be overcome by the light, slowly, and then dissolved by it. They might find themselves thinking only of happiness and good things, until their existence ceases. (Similar to what happens to souls after death in Yurei, which is why one could not speak to the first person ever to live.)
In the same way, a human who enters Jufuku would slowly be influenced by the darkness until their soul is broken up into nothing by it. Because of this, it is not recommended by me or anyone else to attempt travelling between worlds at all.
More Differences Between Worlds
Our world of Sekai is extremely small when compared to Jufuku, and minuscule when compared to Yurei. Such a size of space is almost unimaginable to us; we have lived in this world for our entire lives, and yet think of our own world to be huge.
Below is a map of the sizes of the worlds.
Besides size, there are countless differences between the worlds. Here I will go over the main ones, having been to all of them myself.
For one, there is nothing edible to humans in any other worlds besides Sekai, so if one plans to travel to another, they must pack enough food for any long period of time - just in case. There are plants in Yurei, but they are not a human food (unless you have passed on) and so it is unwise - very unwise - to consume them.
