*Merliah's POV*
"Princess!!! We must go!" Leo yells, swimming into my chambers.
"Leo what in the oceans are you talking about?!" I exclaim.
"We are under attack, your parents ordered me to get you to land and protect you there." Leo says, packing human clothes.
"What?!?!! We have to get my parents!" I yell as I swim to the door.
"No!!! Your parents want you safe. If anything were to happen to them you will be Oceania's last hope. You can't risk being captured or even killed. We need to leave. NOW!!!" Leo yells. Grabbing my hand and dragging me to the secret passageways. We quickly make our way through and out to the coral maze behind the forest.
"Leo?" I whisper, slightly frightened.
"Hmm?" Leo hums back.
"Where will we go? We have nothing except for a few sets of clothes. We have no money, no place to stay and no idea if we are being followed." I say, starting to hyperventilate. Leo quickly spins to face me, grabs my shoulders, and looks me in the eyes.
"Merliah, we will be fine. Your parents created a bank account as a precaution in case something like this happened and you would need to hide on land. We will be fine. They even bought a house and hired a housekeeper to look after it. We will be fine." Leo reassures me. My breathing slowly returns to normal.
"Okay." I whisper.
"Now, we are going to swim to land and then we are going to go to a high school so we can enroll you in school and then we will head to the house and rest." Leo explains as he grabs my hand again and pulls me along.
"Okay." I whisper again. I look over my shoulder at my home, my kingdom, the only place I've ever known. "Goodbye."
